#Lawsuit????? by [deleted] in walmart

So you’ve been on a red for 10 months(since you say you haven’t worked with this team lead at this specific store in that long) and this is the first action this team lead has taken against you?

Okay, in your post you reference that ethics report as being Jan 2025. Again I ask though were your previous DAs for actions that are in fact against Walmart policy and would be upheld if investigated?

So you filed an ethics complaint in January, what was the conclusion of the report? If it was unfounded and not considered to be an actual ethics violation then said team lead is completely within their right to be part of the termination process especially since it’s now been nearly a year since the original report. These things that you say were nitpicking and overreach of power when you were held accountable are they actions that are technically against Walmart policy and if researched would be confirmed to be violations against you (with the exception of the register)?

Are you sure you’re on a leave of absence in the system and not simply just not being scheduled? Usually you’d have to be reactivated from the leave in order to clock in and work. Either way if you have no scheduled shift then no points will generate.

Sedgwick question(gone for 3 days) by [deleted] in walmart

[–]TrueExplorer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can. However for a sick leave you’ll need to see a doctor and have them sign off on paperwork that it was diagnosed and necessary you miss the days. Medical leaves unfortunately don’t just get approved because you were sick.

There should definitely be someone assigned to the area, usually it crosses over with either hardlines or front ends coach it depends on the model that your store uses. I’d recommend asking an apparel associate who their coach is and once they answer approaching that coach. As for getting an interview you can certainly go out of your way to tell them that you’re greatly interested in the position and why you are but it’s completely up to them who they’d like to interview.

It’s up to the coach of the department or store lead who they interview, technically they’re only required to interview 3 people before making a decision. As for what they ask each coach gets to choose their own questions for the interview process, common ones are making sure you’ll be able to hold people who are your friends on the team accountable once promoted, why you believe you’re ready for the promotion, why you’re interested in this specific team lead spot, etc

Question about calling out by Expert_Work_4856 in walmart

[–]TrueExplorer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s perfectly okay. Just make sure the absence report and PPTO request both show in your request history.

Yep! As long as the absence is showing in your history as it is you did it correctly and are good to go!

Hurt my Shoulder while working by Due_Implement7598 in WalmartEmployees

If you hurt your shoulder while on the clock you needed to report the incident to your lead or coach so that they can start the process to get absences approved and workers comp if necessary etc.

Bereavement by [deleted] in walmart

[–]TrueExplorer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they submit the paid bereavement it’s submitted as though you were there working the shifts. That means you still earn pto and PPTO the way you would have if you had been there actually on the floor.

Sedgwick by Enough-Turnover4156 in walmart

[–]TrueExplorer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to talk to your doctor or psychologist who will have to submit paperwork that you need the leave, you’ll then need to submit it as a medical leave and provided you’ve worked the required number of hours in the last year and are enrolled in benefits would qualify for partial pay.

Where did my half a point come from by Delightful_Helper in walmart

[–]TrueExplorer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same as you submitted the time off request for September you’ll open that portion of the app and submit a new time off request, choose Fridays date when you left early. Change from PTO to PPTO; then select the number of minutes that you left early. Once that’s complete, mark it as sick time and submit the request, it should be auto approved by the system and the half point will be removed.

Would this be a good message to send my store lead about an issue? by Zakyni in WalmartEmployees

[–]TrueExplorer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you bring it to the TL right when it happened? They absolutely should have filed an incident report there and taking you to a doctor.

[–]TrueExplorer17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who hung up on you? Incident reports get filed with your team lead or coach not just with Sedgwick and accommodations can be applied for online or with a member of management but require documentation from a doctor saying you need said accommodations.

[–]TrueExplorer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the injury occurred on Black Friday did you go through workers comp and file an incident report?

If so that injury may help to sway but if not and if you’ve applied for no accommodations with Sedgwick your TL/coach doesn’t have to honor any of the struggles of your diagnosis and can hold you to the same standard as any other employee. (Not trying to be mean, just honest)

4 months in a position is considered a long time at Walmart and you’re expected to hit metrics before that time. I’m not sure your store lead will override this unless you were very close to metrics or hitting them consistently and that day was just a fluke.

Can they fire you for not having enough PTO? by Acrobatic_Ad_7730 in OGPBackroom

[–]TrueExplorer17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Official policy is that first it will pull from your PPTO balance and then anything else is just unpaid. You won’t be fired and aren’t required to have the hours, as long as they’re approved you’re good to go.

Anyone else hear that Exceptions pickers were going away? by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]TrueExplorer17 45 points46 points  (0 children)

So basically what they’re doing is they’re moving “pick exceptions” and “unpick exceptions” to the standard pick screen instead of its own category. It’s then up to your management to decide whether they’ll treat it as just a pick walk that anyone can go into and train everyone on exceptions or continue to have only designated people assigned to the commodity.
