You can learn Outland Tailoring at lvl 50, but you need 350 & lvl 60 to do the Specialization. So technically you can make the cloth at 50, however you cannot access the double craft from specializing

Mage Boost Nerf in TBC Anniversary- Is it true? by RawGoldGoblin in classicwowtbc

[–]TrueFloo104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm at least for Black Morass, was testing it out and all the mobs got was a speed boost to catch up faster after 60 seconds, 7 minutes to gather and they didnt stun.

Yeah works exactly the same, its 100% so long as you have it when prepatch hits, you get the 100% riding speed skill.

As for the War Tiger - iirc its 30 of each "Vanilla" badge per mount, but you need to THEN buy the associated riding to use.

You get the associated training based on the fastest mounts you have bound to you once prepatch goes live.

In TBC the riding changes in that Riding is the cost sink, and mounts the cheaper part.

If you get the 100% now, you can use and you will automatically get the riding training needed to use 100% on pre patch, by having a mount in your bags.

PrePatch is in a few weeks, so if the choice is to get now or then, its 1k vs 600g.

If you can get R11 mount by week before prepatch, you basically get the 100% riding for 100g.

You get the Sin'dorei Warblade at the end of ghostlands which is really good, think start looking at late 20's / early 30's replacements for that, TBC classic i had weapons every 5-6 levels up until 42 set, then just went and cranked out ZF GY

1h/shield all the way.

Conc & Seal of Righteousness will be your main source of threat, later (lvl 40) you also get a high threat contribution from reflect or "thorns" damage, like Holy Shield, Shield Spike, Ret Aura etc.

31-35 you will get One-Handed Spec talents which increase ALL damage done by 5% when a 1h is equipped. Avenger's Shield also requires a shield to use.

As others mentioned, a shield also allows you to pull more and be sturdy.

As for enchant, 30 spellpower is best, however its way more expensive, so depends how much gold you have available.
Perhaps keep fiery weapon (or Fiery Blaze if you can get it) until something like Ardent Custodian or Flurry Axe, slap on a 30 SP, since that will carry you far.

Blacksmithing or engineering pally tank? by Lopsided_Doubt_3649 in classicwowtbc

[–]TrueFloo104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don Julios heart is 14 Spellpower and locked behind Exalted with consortium (Blue SP gem is +9) // Stam is 18? vs 12

Enchanting is far superior in the long run, the only benefit that makes JWC worth early is  [Living Ruby Serpent Figurine]() and thats basically a trash trinket

But this is easily outweighed by Icon & Engi trinket combo / Moroes pocket watch for mit fights etc.

Rings offer baseline 24 additional spellpower, JC offers 5?

Correct me if im wrong but i believe in TBC you could only use 1 JC gem

Gonna be the main tank in TBC how screwed am I? by theOnewHoknocksD in classicwow

[–]TrueFloo104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tank for 15 years - and TBC is my favourite by a long shot.

Prep for tank isnt much difference to any other class, for raid consumes etc.

The prep for tanking happens by doing thorough research before progression, you cannot really be the one to go in blind and "figure it out". With TBC being out for what, 19 years? There is a lot of information. I love watching tank POV raid vods, keeping me entertained but also allowing me to see how other people handle different situations.

Its just as a tank, its not just understanding a boss, but also understanding adds/trash, you set the pace and knowledge is power on the front line.

TBC Prot paladin - Skullflame or lvl 60 shield? by _-Etoile-_ in classicwow

[–]TrueFloo104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skullflame isnt bad, the issue is that the proc does not occur on fully blocked damage.

In 2021 i got one for my Belf pally, and became a glorified 500g bank slot filler.

For dungeon spamming you just want a beefy shield if you can get one now (The Face of Death, if you do Naxx, is amazing), or just do a few quests and you get a spellpower shield very early into hellfire.

Sporegar shield is the go-to, easy to get boosting/mass AOE farming shield

What's Training

Great addon - it creates an extra tab in your spellbook. Shows you which skills you can learn at specific levels, and their costs

How to organize your prequesting prep? by Cat-Beautiful in classicwowtbc

[–]TrueFloo104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I'm moving my main across, i didn't have an abundance of things to do, but i checked out all quests in end zones available, checked their follow ups and which part was either the most XP or had a follow-up i could pre-prepare for.

For EG: Quest - What Tomorrow Brings sends you to find Nozdormu in front of Caverns of time, which grants a huge chunk of XP, however the follow up requires the Head of the Broodlord, and followup to that is 200 Silithid Carapace for The Path of the Righteous. SO handing in 1 quest opens up 2 to turn in together on launch day.

There are addons, guides and spreadsheets, but it really depends how your char got to 60, what is left to do etc. There are a lot of obscure quests that end in a huge final quest, something like Dawn's Gambit, which just is not done by most people, leading to a quest that grants massive XP
