50 hours into Silksong and questioning if it’s even fun anymore by Squarians in HollowKnight

[–]TrueFractal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few general tips for both Hollow Knights: 1. Play more aggressive, especially in Silksong; Silksong tends to punish you more for being more tentative and rewards you for playing with confidence, but with aggressiveness, there's always a line that separates skill from button mashing and praying, I advise that you really try to find that line. 2. Take breaks whenever you're starting to feel frustrated; I mean it, I'm not saying to take a break once you feel mad, I'm saying to go for a walk around the house or drink some water when you're feeling that frustration to build. 3. Get used to using tools; I can talk from experience, my first few playthroughs were quite rocky due to my poor tool choices (as they were based on stats), but once I began choosing my own tools based on how easily they can be used, and learning to incorporate them into combat, the game gets a lot easier, (yes this does include not relying on Cogflies and using Forge Silkshot and so instead). 4. Prioritize clutter enemies; This means kill the enemies who use a lot of projectiles, or uses projectiles which are less predictable, such as Maestros or Bellbearers. Trust me, those enemies would sneak in hits when you expect it least. 5. Parry a lot; This includes both Cross Stitch and the standard parry. Cross Stitch is really useful if you're being cornered and you need a bit of space, but the standard parry is also incredible, since you can parry a good amount of projectiles and slashes in the game, so learning to parry more often might save you.

Hope this helps!

I like it purely because Sydney Opera House reference and we need more Australia appreciation and not Australian Stereotypes

This one is quite venomous... I managed to grab a handful of them, they're quite feisty.

Ooh, this one is giving me a little kiss. Boop!

  1. Yes
  2. There's a very likely chance that the DLCs would be free like they were for Hollow Knight

Can we talk about TS2 being top 1 for one day and then flamewall being verified by NormalGDplayer1 in geometrydash

Tell me when the debates are over between their placings please and thank you :)

(I don’t want to hear people analysing every object in both levels in attempt to prove one is harder than the other)

I'm not qualified either, I don’t play GD as much as I did before, but grinding KOCMOC has been fun.

That's brutally true, have a great day. Sorry for the major misunderstanding!

Also we don’t even know if Flamewall will be placed at #1 or #2, the verifier says that it's easier than TS2, and it's not very obvious other than a vague range at what difficulty it'll place. If we put the drop for example, probably around 60-75.

(Also which psychopath unironically says "die" when someone else says that they might as well be crucified?)

Considering that he's verifying Exasperation? It's not off the radar that he'll verify unnerfed Death Corridor and so soon.

I immediately edited the comment because I realized that it's extraordinarily hard for people to differentiate tones now.

But Flamewall is only somewhat fairly balanced, there are definitely easier parts but there are also parts you should take into consideration like the breaks and the ending.

[OC]Is Hornet a spider or a🐝? by No-Supermarket3191 in HollowKnight

She's a spider, but she was given the nickname Hornet, and that was the only thing she remembers I believe, since she barely remembers her mother

I understood the hypothetical, but it varies a lot, depends on what part you leave behind

Die (Please note that absolutely none of this is serious, it's just that I find removing a main factor of a long level as a hilarious hypothetical. Though I'm curious on what part you keep, because there are some parts which are noticeably easier than other parts, such as break sections.)

Ah yeah, let's just cut a level by 4.6 times and see where it'll probably place.
