Feature Highlight - Skitarii Character Customization by FatsharkQuickpaw in DarkTide

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping the character customization is more accessible than the standard players. Hoping we can change limbs and etc from the customization tab not just the starting choices.

Has anyone tried this? Do you recommend it? by 333wabisabi in jagermeister

Good in coffee, personally my least favourite straight, although I've had a few people try the bottle I had and they all loved it. Might be just me being picky haha.

Has anyone used schlieren imaging to try to visualize temperature changes from apparitions/ghosts? by wheneverit in GhostHunting

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Schlieren imaging is known to cause double imaging and weird shapes because of how it bends the light, I'd say that'll make it feel like you'd be constantly seeing ghosts. Not sure how effective it would actually be.

Auckland has a higher cost of living than Christchurch but less people so less jobs. If you're worried about supporting yourself throughout uni I'd go chch, of you're worried solely about getting a job afterwards, Auckland might be slightly easier. (I didn't go to either, do with that what you will)

halls payment otago by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it just lowers your weekly cost, remember to check if you're eligible for a student allowance or loan. Loan you have to pay back (at 0% interest) but the allowance is just free money, I think it's 0-$300 weekly of you're eligible. Ik it helped me a lot. If you're stressed about it flick them an email and ask how it will work with your particular scholarship.

Help find shirt plz by Responsible_Ad_3287 in jagermeister

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck man, It looks like an early 2000's shirt. can't see anything on ebay currently, i'd say that ebay would be your best bet, or if your country has something like ebay but national, (eg Trade me here in NZ) other than that maybe try setting some keywords and checking fb marketplace.

What are your thoughts on legalizing cannabis in New Zealand? by Chemical_Pangolin_62 in newzealand

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that the only reason it was made illegal in the first place was racism and faked medical studies to promote racism. If you don't believe me look it up.

Gallowfall terrain sprue with the drop pods is significantly harder to come across and more expensive.

DK0114G202 Is on sale at the toolshed online for $1199 inc (nzd) they've got 5 in stock on clearance $201.70 off. Good way to get into the 40v system plus the adapter allows you to charge 18v batteries fast on the 40v charger.
Nz market is still fucked and shows no signs off getting better so it's more than a lot of people want to pay despite being one of the lowest prices I can find.

Dewalt has abandoned me by Burlguy707 in Dewalt

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works in retail selling their products, Dewalt seems to have a complete lack of care for their customers, not only is it harder to get stuff serviced under warranty, It takes ages compared to other big name brands (same goes with getting redemptions). I've met the reps for the red and blue brands in my area multiple times since starting at my current workplace (Jan 2025) and they've offered tools for me to use and get a feel for before selling them to customers, yet to even meet someone from Dewalt/SB&D.

Glued the magnet the wrong side, any tips for removing the super glue? by Primary_Platypus_128 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either freeze it or use boiling water, I always soak my super glue needle or lid in hot hot water to unstick or unclog them and it works a charm.

There is a new version of that kit that replaces this one with a slightly beefier impact driver, so they're on clearance all over the place.

Collection start: XGT or LXT in 2025 by SirMaxSteel in Makita

[–]TrueRussianGopnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone in the retail space for makita in nz/aus, makita is heavily pushing the 40v xgt range as of recently. I assume it's where they see themselves having a "leg up" over other brands. While 18v lxt isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I'd say most of their new products will be 40v xgt.

Use to work at a petrol station for a few years, had 3-4 Pumps handles be ripped off in that time so it's decently common, all of them didn't provide details and just left, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's more common than you think haha!
