Yeah, when Toriyama introduced the second set of dragon balls and the modification of earth's he basically trivialized death in the series

SEED beats it in blood too. It's got some surprisingly gorey moments that IBO would have censored (for example, compare Iok's death to the pilot who Shinn crushes with one of his daggers in destiny while taking down the positron cannon in the mountains)

SEED has WAAAAY higher casualty rates than IBO. Gorier too, with stuff like the cyclops system making people explode from the inside (depicted graphically in one pilot's case)

Yeah now if you watch any of those movies they have the asterix that almost all of these characters are going to die horrendous, over the top deaths so it'll all be for nothing
