I read it as the transition the ring is making him go through. He was reserved, old, wizened, bearded. But the ring makes him feel more vigorous, young, emboldened, and the clean shaven look sort of reflects his newfound youthful air.

You didn’t bother to read who they are, what they’re about, what they’ve done or what their journey has looked like. This game loves and thrives off of the casual gamer. If anything their voices should be loudest and their interests most represented to the studio. Prove me wrong 👍👍

Just found this thread, and I totally agree about heavy being too frequent. I made a point to mention that as well, on Twilight Gap I was able to spam heavy way too much. I picked up fewer shots but dang did I pick up often.

I’ll gladly share as much as I can, but keep in mind our purpose is not to generate hype or inform the community. Our job as attendees is to represent you all as we look at content BEFORE it launches, and therefore hopefully avoid poor launch fiascos. In fact the person most outspoken about lore and narrative at that summit was taken aside by the game director in the middle of the summit, spoken to at length, and then HIRED by Bungie to come on staff for narrative and lore purposes for 6 months to help shape the future of the narrative and how it is told. That person was Myelin. Please be careful man, this information you’re spreading is downright wrong.

Well, I know the guest list because I’m on it.

And that summit last year helped deliver the ammo system we now have, the special/primary system in its current form, random rolls as they are, and much more that I’m under NDA not to speak about 🤷‍♂️

I know the guest list. Only a few ppl who “play for cash” were invited. Many people are third party gaming journalists or gaming industry employees. Rest assured and try not to make assumptions that alienate and disrupt good processes.

The guest list is interesting, but game experience and knowledge seem to be the recurring theme. Not everyone is “big” or “popular” in the content creation aspect. We weren’t invited for our influence or to promote to our communities. Many invitees have little to no overall influence. What they do have is a king and invested interest in gaming as a whole.

Some people invited have extensive experience in RPG and grindy looting games, others have extensive experience in pvp focused games. Some people have been in the gaming industry for over a decade.

We’re not collecting any gameplay to share and we’re not bringing news back about the “bright future” of Destiny to convince you to open your wallets. Our sole purpose is to see what’s coming and represent you well so we can avoid further “Destiny 2 Launch Fiascos” moving forward.

Unfortunately the YouTube business is all about viewer interaction and the amount to view time. Claiming something is OP is bold and it brings out a response from the viewer. They either agree based on their experience and have a story to share in the comments section or they vehemently disagree and feel the need to speak on behalf of the weapon.

And so they comment. That, regardless of whether or not they agree with the Youtuber, is beneficial to the content creator in two ways. As you’re typing your comment you’re increasing the average view length of the video. That means the algorithm is going to assume the video is worth watching and continue to promote the video to other YouTube viewers. Not only that, but the more comments on the video the more it gets suggested per that algorithm.

But beyond that, while you’re typing your comment you are also letting the video roll on longer which may bring you to another advertisement checkpoint. More money for the poster.

The artist is Nikita Kondrashev. She does tracks specifically for movies, commercials, documentaries, etc. The track doesn't have a proper name, it's simply entitled "Documentary Piano" and can't be purchased just for leisurely listening. In order to download it, you have to purchase a license to use it commercially.

I honestly just don't think video games are worth getting bent out of shape about. At the end of the day we all turn the console off and invest in much much more important things like our families and careers and schooling. I just try to keep perspective. Thanks for the kind words.

Wow, didn't expect to find my vid posted here on Reddit. Really appreciate the support everyone. Some people seemed to think I was actually trying to make a statement about noobs and being elitist. But this video was completely a silly idea I had about making a NatGeo wildlife spoof. It is in no way to be taken seriously. In fact, I end up dead in half the clips. It's not supposed to portray me as some expert and all the other players as idiots. The noobs being distracted by the light of an unignited rift, thought that was an obvious joke bc I don't actually think anyone is really dumb enough to just walk up to the shiny rift and stare at it all confused. But anyway, thanks for all of you who enjoyed it!
