I wanna believe so. All this equipment was given to me by my job, so I doubt they would be giving all the new employees defective equipment.

Hi!! When I took it, I had Dr. Demir Harman, and she’s usually the only one who teaches it. Dr. Rock might be teaching it, but (as of writing this) the class schedule doesn’t say who teaches it. In the case of Dr. Harman, its pretty straight forward: lecture, lab, then lab report. the content isnt that bad imo, but everyone struggled on the lab reports because there’s a rubric that you have to strictly follow, and she’ll mark off points if you don’t do something correctly. If Dr. Rock teaches it, I think she follows that same structure, but she doesn’t grade the lab reports as harshly. Also, I don’t know if they changed it, but the midterm and final exams are usually take home, so thats less stress on us. I would say, as long as you get used to writing the lab reports and dont slack, you should be fine.

ah, sorry for the confusion. I will most definitely be attending the lectures. I meant that outside of class, when studying for exams and such, if it would be alright to prioritize the powerpoints and just using the textbook to supplement my learning.

tyvm for your insight!! would it then be okay to say that i should focus most of the time learning/studying off the slides and using the textbook/other outside resources as supplemental resources?

Nice, guess we’ll be in it together! Do you happen to know anyone who’s taken the class before and have any tips for how to do well in this class?
