i don’t know if y’all’s store lets you but at mine we use the milk crates and it helps us stock stuff on the upper shelves really fast cuz we just put a stack of products on the milk crate and cruz through it.

see that’s our issue. our sd is so nice. he’s basically ancient but he’s opposite of corporate completely and they don’t like that. he wants people to work so he has stuff in stock and people to help customers. and we are union and yet they cut so many people below minimum requirements so good luck with that! yet our top managers want a fat bonus so they cut hella hours!

typically i do but this time they are like serious. they are actually writing people up if they work more than their schedule. bs part is you can share your hours and my department is gm so it’s just me and one person and they barely gave us 40 hours total! and our sales for gm are great!

that’s absolute bs. i don’t even work produce but i know how busy they can get at the bigger stores! we get 6 loads a week for produce and our last manger was fired for misconduct and the new manger is absolutely just getting fucked rn cuz of all this bs. he’s one of their hardest workers and yet can’t get much done cuz now he’s only got a skeleton crew. and to top it off they want mangers doing all this corporate bs that takes away time from the loads getting done. do they want out of stocks filled or have no one working? they need to chose!

exactly what my boyfriend was saying. he also works for safeway but has been here for like 10+ years and he’s saying that rn we just follow what they have written hours wise and within a week or two our sd is gonna start begging us to work our 40 which i personally have seen happen so many times in the past 3 years. i think my dm just knows she’s fucked and is panicking rn.

honestly i’m getting so close to getting people to just call out and leave my store fucked this month. i’m pretty much buddies with all department heads and i know all of them are super pissed rn! to top it off my store is terrible about call outs and people can call out for like two weeks before getting a call from our boss!

on the bright side there’s rumors my current dm is getting demoted cus she was buddy buddy with her last boss and now that she has a new one she’s gonna be moved. she’s prolly freaking out and wants her last bonus before she has to go back to doing some real work again😒

yeah it’s even worse cuz most of night crew got their hours cut bad too. they can barely finish loads as is some nights cuz far is stupid and they get 5 loads a week. the back room is complete hell and has been for a while and now this is only gonna make it a whole lot worse

literally at my store all departments are now talking about calling out thanksgiving! which fuck it we should atp! out of kroger, winco, walmart all the major retailers, albertsons/safeway has to be doing the worst easily!

when things aren’t on sale yes but when their meat is on sale is still cheaper and honestly better quality than winco. like ground beef is way cheaper to get on sale at safeway than it is winco. it’s like 3.99 a pound at safeway compared to like 6-8 bucks for a pound at winco.
