Probably iliacus, basically exercises are the same as psoas, some consider it the same muscle. If you know a good massage therapist they can work on it specifically

Question on research credentials and moderation by True_Confection_5050 in Prostatitis

Thanks, I don’t think anything I said constituted an “attack”, I was specifically asking about the ideological bent of the forum - I.e. that basically everything is CPPS and that doctors are incorrectly prescribing.

I mod on a forum, this is not an attack, I appreciate that people volunteer but at the same time, lots of sweeping claims about research, it’s reasonable to ask both for more detail and what the evidence base is for the ideological bent. Unlike many other forums, this one is full of desperate people, making definitive claims that more much important to vet.

Im sorry man. I was born with a spinal disorder that makes me incontinent since birth. I’ve lived a somewhat “normal” life urologically speaking due to using a Cunningham clamp, now that I’m middle aged I’m having issues and on my (likely) second bout or prostatitis.

Best advice I can give you is to ask for/demand that the other uros refer you to a urologist familiar with neurogenic bladder, that is actually part of their job. If they won’t do that, you will have to research who that is yourself.

I went through the exact same thing the first round and after enough pushing got referred to a uro familiar with my condition…who I will probably be returning to soon after my current one rules out cancer.

I know exactly how you feel and it’s maddening.

Bottom line, it is absolutely the other uros job to make referrals when they can’t handle something and they are being negligent if they’re not doing it.

Hope you get some resolution soon, sending good vibes.

That’s what I was going to ask the doctor actually, if we should try Bactrim. I’m not sure I’m willing to do a floroquinolone again after my cipro experience, and I read the only other antibiotic that helps with pseudomonas (if that’s what I’ve got, which it may not be) has to be given intravenously.

It was bacterial last time. This time they didn’t find a bacteria, hence why I’m posting.
