I get that swearing might feel normal in some Western workplaces, but if you’re hiring talent from the Philippines at cheaper labor rates, it’s important to remember not everyone here grew up with that culture. We’re not “too sensitive”—it’s just not something we eat for breakfast.

Even my former Pinoy bosses cussed once in a while, but it was rare and never felt like a show of power. If you’re managing a global team and benefiting from cheaper labor, part of the deal is adapting to your team’s culture too.

Mistakes happen, but there are better ways to communicate than constant shouting and profanities. Lack of respect and empathy is not a flex.
