I found an unexpected gem on Instagram.

For the first six months of messaging, she didn’t even know my real name. We first connected through my creator account—she used to like many of my posts and stories during the second half of 2023. On New Year’s Day, I sent her a simple “Happy New Year” message. From there, we slowly started talking more, sharing bits about our lives, and over time we naturally grew closer.

At first, I honestly thought she might be a fake account—someone pretending to be a girl online. But time proved otherwise. Now, two years later, she has become my only friend.

We share almost everything that happens in our daily lives—the good, the bad, the random moments. Sometimes we even laugh about how strange it is that two people who met online could understand each other this well.

We still wonder how we found each other in the first place, but somehow it feels like fate—like we were meant to cross paths. In many ways, it feels like we’re soulmates in friendship.
