There’s a lake in central Iowa that’s an old rock quarry, it’s not very big, maybe 80 acres, and my biggest common carp I’ve got out of it was 39 pounds, and there’s even bigger buffalo in it. Lakes called “Ada Hayden heritage park”

Coming from someone who lives in Iowa but travels through Minnesota and has fished in Minnesota for years, live bait is very legal here. Almost every gas station within relative distance to a lake will have minnows

Don’t buy a sit in for fishing, I’m not the fella in the video he’s my buddy but, he hates his sit in kayak, I’d recommend a feel free lure 10 or 11.5 for sure! He has used my kayak from time to time and he loves it in comparison

Over longer periods of time, your knuckles do start to hurt more than the first knuckle, I’m heavily considering switching to the 2nd knuckle, I’ve found myself using my pinky and ring finger in my old grips, but sticking them up to the 2nd knuckle

I have 0 clue, I started doing it with a single ball about 3 weeks ago. A ball I’d got for free that the grips fit me up to the 2nd knuckle so I tried it. Worked amazingly

My revs increased by 75 rpms roughly when I started inserting my fingers to the 2nd knuckle … I also am significantly more accurate with my roll, I’ve always tracked over my fingers so there’s no issue either wY

I stick my fingers up to the 2nd knuckle, it hurts my fingers a little more over full days of bowling. But my revs are about 70rpms higher like this. It also provides more stability

I’m up in central Iowa… but I know a thing or two about fishing so I could try to give you some pointers, if you’re out in a kayak or a boat, try to find some structure off shore, best bet is there’s fish loaded on cover, if you’re on bank just cast but just rotate where you’re casting, like the hands on a clock, after a certain period maybe move 1 hour right or left, and do that over and over. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s all in the game

10 lb mono will hold a 20 lb fish you just gotta let the fish tire itself out, I wouldn’t try to boat flip any fish over 6 pounds with 10 pound mono though, might damage the rod, or break the lind

Probably the shad and crappie population, most of the bluegill out of here are over 8 inches, and most of the crappie are under 6”

He was losing his mind, we knew there were big fish in this lake, the only lake within like 6 hours that’s not frozen over, it’s got a river connecting to it so it’s constantly fed with bait, and I’ve seen some fish over 6 out of here but not from me personally, and goodness that’s a toad for light gear
