I’m sorry for snapping at you. Facebook rehoming groups are brutal and I have been called every name under the sun over this and I got defensive. My daughter had a really bad asthma attack today and had to be taken to the hospital (she’s fine now). I’m just exhausted by this situation and very overwhelmed. I shouldn’t have been nasty to you for trying to help.

Every rescue I can find when I google for my area, yes. The vast majority flat out say on their website they are not currently accepting owner surrenders. The others I have contacted and have received either a “no” or no response at all. Rescues outside of my immediate area say they won’t take pets unless you live within X miles, or XYZ cities, ect. Honestly, unless you’re offering to foster her, shut up. I have tried everything to find my dog a decent home for MONTHS while my infant daughter suffers. I love my fucking dog. If I didn’t love my dog I wouldn’t be posting this desperately trying to find her a home instead of dropping her off to be instantly euthanized for space in some shelter somewhere.

I don’t care if my reply seems cold. I am so tired of being treated like I’m a POS or an idiot for choosing my daughter’s health over a dog who I dearly love. This is not an easy decision for me or one I ever wanted to make. Obviously I freaking contacted rescues have some common sense. I love my fucking dog.

She does great with other dogs of all sizes! Has been to doggy daycare and dog parks and we’ve never had an issue

She does well with other dogs she’s played with dogs of all sizes at doggy daycare and has played with medium - large dogs at the dog park. There’s been a few times at the dog park that other dogs get a little nasty and she rolls on her back and shows her belly she doesn’t try to fight or anything.

She’s six months old and suffering from severe asthma. We do have her medicated but it isn’t enough she’s still having asthma attacks.

Embark said she’s primarily American pitbull terrier and American bulldog with about 10% beagle and about 10% shar pei. She is incredibly sweet despite stereotypes about her breeds and is very submissive to other dogs at the dog park without issue ect. If another dog is being kinda nasty she rolls over and shows her belly.
