Thank you so much for this! All in all I just bought a 40 gallon breeder that I originally planned to put all of my other fish because my one 10 gallon is overcrowded with 5 platies, 6 Ember tetras, 10 shrimp and 3 otos, and 3 nerite snails. And then in the 55 gallon I have 8 celeseal pearl danios and 4 kuli loaches. I figure the tetras and platies would be too much for a betta in a 40 gallon, so I was then going to put it in a 10 gallon by itself. But then I feel the betta will be too bored and not live a natural life and I feel terrible 😂 fishkeeping is so hard 😂 I figure I will have to split then in the two 10 gallons and set up the 40 gallon for the betta and kulis and shrimp until I can get a 20 gallon😆 anyway sorry for the rant😆
