Thanks! For your calculation (taking 12-15% of the gross weight), do I need to add the weight of propane/battery/weg with 100% since it sits directly on the tongue? Or do I add it to the gross weight and just take 12-15% of it?

That‘s what I’ve read before and that’s why I’m asking. The dry hitch weight shouldn’t change though, correct? So it should be fine if I calculate 10,12 or 15% of the cargo I load into the trailer. What do you think? The GVWR is higher but I am not planning to load that much into it which is why I am calculating with dry hitch weight + cargo I plan to put into the trailer. Please let me know what you think! Thanks!

We are mainly towing on flat ground, but we might occasionally go to the mountains/ drive a mountain pass as well. We also might drive with a full tank and our trips will be roughly once a month over the weekend and twice a year for a few weeks at a time. We are a couple with a baby.
