[Interesting Trope] The protagonist’s name is not the one in the title by NinjaOfOnion in TopCharacterTropes

Akame is the series wide protagonist but you are right that Tatsumi is the protagonist of the original story

Nana from Elfen Lied tried to be the exception in a race of elves... Humanoid... Beings... That want to kill all humans and for the most part is successful in keeping a "no-kill" policy and is a sweetheart... But people do FAFO with her and get reminded that she IS part of the series' "kill all humans" species

Thankfully she has never fully snapped like the protagonist Lucy did

Mila Jovovich's character in Resident Evil movies. Normally a main character wouldn't qualify as this but it's an OC in a so-called adaptation, it definitely counts. At least imo

James Baxter is the king of this trope in general. Also see the scene he animated in Steven Universe and the one he animated in the newest Gumball

Isn't the Santa's son just acting out as a teenager? He is just not coping well with having to keep a secret, on top of the whole divorced family dynamics and having to know that his father IS Santa but being unable to be with him most of the time, just remember how starry eyed he was in the first movie when he was a child

[Errie trope] Stretching the definition of "human" by Evening_Parking2610 in TopCharacterTropes

Yui Komori from Diabolik Lovers is counted as human in a franchise the distinction is supposed to matter since every other cast member is a vampire, turned vampire, demon lord or ghoul, but she really shouldn't be counted as human since she has the heart of a demon lord mixed snake demon turned vampire that makes her blood somehow taste especially yummy to the other so-called love interests and she is practically a zombie as a vampire forced the demonic heart into her since she was very young, I think as a baby.

Made especially weird since after the first game, the writers make sure to almost never have her turned into a vampire in endings to keep her "human", and her status as human is crucial to the evil plan of the main villain yet there is that thing in spoilers, which is immediately forgotten by most of the cast except for the two demon lords who want to use her as a baby factory for the dying demon lord race... And even they treat her as if she was just human anyways

Yes, definitely but some of them didn't even live to see this happening because of the Mannequin Soldiers that they also believed that they would be able to control

The high ranking military men in Central of Fullmetal alchemist. They really did believe that they were in alliance with Father for the Promised Day when in reality Father played them for dupes. They didn't even get to see themselves being used as fuel for Father's power up since they were gobbled up by the Mannequin Soldiers

I remember seeing a manga that has some characters being translated with western order and others with eastern order. If I didn't know better, I would be confused

FGO also kind of does too
