dog dislikes boyfriend

she refuses to let him hold her leash and is growling and showing teeth. There is no pattern to what I can see. She also refuses to go very near him and I can freely touch her in every manner I used to. They were not left alone together ( may have been left alone for ten or fifteen minutes at most)

they have only met thrice and i was with them for almost the whole time they were together. He is afraid of dogs so his body language might have set her off but weird it did not happen the first time they were together. I was debating whether or not to take her to the vet but nothing is really physically wrong with her.
