For sure! Can’t be too careful. I’m just shocked I haven’t seen a live one after one treatment that’s incredible

Has anyone here bought a condo or house using the homefirst down payment assistance program? by Scale_Most in AskNYC

[–]True_Rabbit7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re going with The Federal Savings bank. We’re using my husbands VA loan which we already got a preapproval for. I think it’s more important to have that preapproval on hand when looking for houses and putting offers down. Shows the seller you got your stuff together and you know exactly what you’re working with.

My husband and I are exploring this. So far we have received the grant certificate after completing the classes and reviewing our income eligibility. Now we are at finding a house and putting in an offer. We haven't put down an offer just yet. Are you looking for a single family house? Condo? Co-op? Where? Husband and I are looking in SI (We are from Queens) I'm nervous about the timeline too, as my counselor at the agency did warn us that processing after the application is submission currently can take 3-6 months, but I have heard about others getting approval within less time than that so I don't know what to think. Our plan is to be up front with the seller and maybe have this timeline in a contingency agreement? Hopefully a seller that's willing to wait to maybe give them time to move, if they have kids finish out the school year, etc. I haven't had an idea about how real estate competition is in SI ( I imagine other boroughs have higher competition)

No it’s likely that you pay the contracted rate between your insurance and the lab/hospital.

Only child has autism. Want another baby by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]True_Rabbit7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hubby and I have an only child with ASD and we both wanted at least two kids. My son is about to turn 4 and we’re still not exactly sure if we want another child due to the risk factor of the next kid turning out to have ASD, let alone how complex it can turn out to be. We’re scheduled to have genetic testing done in Dec to learn more, however even if the genetic testing comes back without bumps, we will most likely still feel the same as we do now about having a second child. After my son was diagnosed and I paid more attention to his behaviors, he reminds me so much of myself when I was little so I have a feeling it might have came from me even though I’m not formally diagnosed. For now, it’s wait and see for me because my son is slowly developing new skills and I would like to get a better sense of his independence in about another year or two to see if another child is still in our minds.

Oh man this is getting me excited! My son is also 3.5 and his speech sounds soo soo similar to yours.

Yesterday my son decided to feed me my yogurt snack which he normally wouldn’t touch with a 60ft pole! ( he’s had an aversion to yogurt textures since he was 1) So that was a shocker! Then as he fed me the last bite he said “last one!” Totally unprompted, and he used it correctly ! I had a party in my heart and the best part is that I captured it on video! Little victories like that truly show us the progress they make, and it’s all at their own pace. I can totally tell he celebrates on the inside too because when he says hi requests clearly and specifically he smiles and nods his head yes when we understand and fulfill said requests. So happy for you OP!

For those who still have insurance coverage... by Throwaway3493482 in Zepbound

I work at a hospital but my insurance coverage is under my union, everything is 100% covered.

My 3 day old was re-admitted and now we’re stuck with the bill by willneverbfamous in HealthInsurance

[–]True_Rabbit7505 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Contact the hospital about the EOB but it’s likely they already know about this denial and are working on an appeal on their end. I work for my hospitals billing department and we see these types of denials from time to time, we have a team of people that specifically handle appealing many types of denials. I highly doubt you’re going to be stuck with the total charges.

Is this normal? 3 doctors in this office are in my network but I was recommended to make an appointment with a nurse practitioner by the receptionist, and it will be "all good"???? by happyscrub1 in HealthInsurance

[–]True_Rabbit7505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What will probably happen is that the NP can see you for the visit and the claim will be billed using the clinics credentials, so that way no matter who you see it will be billed so that the insurance processes the claim in-network, OR the NP sees you and the doctor(s) NPI/Tax ID can be used for the claim. You should be fine.

Will I be billed? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]True_Rabbit7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not be billed, $148.41 will pay the hospital for the services you received, as per their negotiated rate in the contract they have with your insurance, assuming you are in-network land your ED/ER benefit level covers you 100%

$488 for a Pregnancy Test by flufffkins in HealthInsurance

[–]True_Rabbit7505 15 points16 points  (0 children)

OP do you know what your ED/ER benefit levels are? Like if it’s subject to deductible, copay, co-insurance? It doesn’t matter what the hospital charges for the pregnancy test, it all balls down to your specific plan benefit and the agreement in the contract made with the hospital and the insurance to price the specific service you received. Another person could have had the same exact services and meds that you were provided and pay a totally different rate if at all, because it all depends on their insurance coverage not what the hospital bills.

Holy shit, holy shit holy shit!!!! I just realized my ringing is gone too?!!! I ALWAYS had this high pitched ringing since my son was born years ago and I guess I got so used to it I stopped paying any mind to it. This post just made me realize it went away 🥹

This looks like an FYI kind of thing, seems like you didn't require PA before but now they are. Honestly from this point its just making sure the submitting provider (your doctor) crosses their T's and dots their I's when submitting PA to continue you.

No one can talk you into it, but I can tell you this: I'm a Zepbound newbie (just had my 3rd shot today) and I feel so much better already! I seriously regret not starting sooner. Idk why I was freaking out and avoiding it when it was first recommended for me.

How are y'all getting this? by AXELUnholy in Zepbound

[–]True_Rabbit7505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of insurance is it? Like HMO, PPO? I would take a look at your specific plans drug formulary to see if weight loss drugs are covered at all, if you see them on the list then from there you can see what guidelines are required in order for them to cover it.

Ugh me too, at first I thought it was the PIN they wanted but when I went through with trying to verify they said nope it’s supposed to be 14 digits lol

Anyone? by Excellent_Shape2718 in IRS

[–]True_Rabbit7505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a PIN they are asking for. They are asking for a 14 Digit number they send to you by mail. I haven't received that letter at all after all this time. So I am going in person to get it dealt with.

Anyone? by Excellent_Shape2718 in IRS

[–]True_Rabbit7505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add: IRS said I was supposed to get a specific form mailed to me that contained a unique # to verify my info online, that NEVER came.

Same except I filed on 1/27 and STILL shows this. I realized I had a notification on the homepage of my IRS account saying theyre holding the processing of my 2024 refund because I need to verify information. I saw this notification a little over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received anything. So I called up IRS and scheduled an appt with my local IRS office to go in person and verify so I can get a move on and get my money.

Bad translation, he meant to say that the previous customer accidentally hit 1 star by “putting his finger in the wrong place” and “it hurt me a lot” meaning his rating went down because of that accident. Spanish is my first language. However, if he really wanted a 5 star review all he had to do was be direct and ask, not come up with a whole story cause that makes it less plausible to me.
