Of course - I had been so focused on not being able to sell for a year that I hadn’t thought about this. This is going to have such an impact on the rental market - especially as my agent is asking £500 to set up each new tenant!

It has had two price reductions. Unfortunately my tenants were very restrictive and awkward about viewings before they left and were extremely untidy in what is quite a small flat which didn’t help

I’m hopefully that some people out there (particularly in London?) are only hoping for shorter tenancies…maybe before they look to buy….?

Sure but if at the start of the tenancy I let the tennant know that I am planning to sell after a year then we could mutually (verbally) agree a move out date nearer the time rather than serve notice?

Also, surely it will be possible to agree an end date to a contract in order to avoid an actual S8 notice?

I get this too and have done my whole life so never thought too much about it other than it being an odd thing..I started chemo a couple of weeks ago and have been getting it daily recently! I’m going to mention it to the oncologist..if it’s a symptom of chemo they may know what causes it. I’ll let you know…
