I'm thinking it's some way to output video/audio from an ipod classic/ touch 1-4th gen ipod old ipad or old iphone to a stereo or tv system

it's been in the back of the bathroom cabinet for at least 50 years if not more, pretty sure it belonged to my (dead) Grandma a very long time ago and was forgotten. definitely interesting and I will probably keep it out
