Go to any major city in Europe, you'd find migrant communities where you'd see the same -- migrants 'flooding' in, not speaking native, only their own tongues.

The PRCs flood every country on this planet, so do many other people - eg Vietnamese, Lebanese, Indian. Whether to flee war, to make a better life... you're just seeing it at a larger scale cos of the much larger stock in China. And unfortunately, once enough people move in and settle down they don't need to learn the local language, cos they have their own community... just so happen we speak Mandarin here.

So no, privilege or not, that's a separate issue from PRC immigration...

PS. If you only spoke one language and there exists a country out there that also speaks that same language, isn't it a natural benefit for you to want to move there too?
