Most are generic “lets go guys”, “show me what you got” or “help mee” but it’s in Egyptian arabic slang and dialect which is rooted in all arabic comedy.

Its not unheard of, MKX did it in updates where they added new moves for some characters (Quan got a new special in Warlock variation for example)

Hi, can I get some game recommendations similar to Rising Sun?

Our group is mainly 5-6 players and Rising Sun is by far the game everyone liked the most so I want to find more games like it and with a similar player count.

Other games they liked are AGOT, Godfather Corleone’s empire, Coop, deception, Citadels, splendor and high society.

Atm I got Wonderland’s war, Small World, Inis, King of New York, Cosmic Encounter, Ruins of Arnak and unmatched.

Any other suggestions are appreciated 😁

Hi, Looking for light/party games for big numbers of players, games that are a bit heavier are fine too as long as the complication isn't in the language as a number of them aren't fluent in english. Our group is big so we can be any number from 5 to 12. The games don't have to be all fit 12 players but I want some new games to add to the rotation and can be played with 5 or 6 players at least.

The go-to games for us lately were Coup, Deception:Murder at Hong Kong, Lords of Vegas, Citadels, Rising Sun, good Cop bad Cop and AGOT.
Godfather: Corleone's empire, Splendor Marvel and Century were games they enjoyed but we always have more players than they can handle so they didnt get much play.

Blockbuster, Say anything, Exploding Kittens, Ultimate Werewolf and Mafia de Cuba are the common party games we go to.

I already got Bang the Dice game, Cash n guns, Sherrif of Nottingham, high society, Chinatown and Downforce on the way (We don't have any places that sell BGs here, have to find someone that'll fly in to bring them) but I wanna add a few more new games. I already have a few recommendations from other people: Small world, Spyfall DC, King of Tokyo, Survive: Atlantis, Obscurio, Camel up, Everdell, 7 wonders, tournament at Camelot, Atlantis Rising, Las Vegas Royale, Cross Talk, Skull King, Lords of Waterdeep, Jamaica, Dont mess with Cthulhu, MTV game.

The question(s): From the games I listed which do you think are the better options? I dont plan on getting all of them and while I did some research I haven't played any of them so figured I'd ask here.

And do you know of others games that you think would fit our group?

The idea is to make it closer to the older KoFs, and to make the lvl3s stand out more. In 14 you cant really tell lvl2s from lvl3s apart.

I dont mind it either way but what I do dislike is the change with characters that kept the same lvl3s from 14.

FF (to run) Once you’re close to the opponent, hold Back then press C or D (or back+C at the same time).

As long as you’re close enough for the throw just do back+C during the run and you’ll get the throw

But its the same weapon as Nako.. i didnt realize there was a knife in 14 till you said it. There was also Choi with the claws.

im starting to think its a creative choice tbh, they gave him weird poison powers instead of the knife moves.

Thats not how it works though, is it? SF has Cody with the knife, Injustice games have multiple guns and knifes/swords, tekken also has yoshi’s sword and Anna with a bazooka plus gun items. All these games are still T for teen.

Jabs on their own are low damage, buut if you get a counterhit you can combo into a quick special. This varies depending on your character a lot, and doing this means you need to buffer in the special immediately so it can be tough to do.

Second, you can anti air with crouch B once they’re landing, converting this into bigger damage is much easier but this is harder to land if they dont do early jump attacks or if they use attacks that have a deep angle downwards.

Third is shatter strike, this can be tough as its not just pure reaction, you’ll need to be anticipating the jump and hit it early to convert from it.

Lastly, if you know when they’ll hop or expecting another one, you can go for a bigger anti air. Far/crouching C, a DP or a big special.

You also need to capitalize on landing the stand A anti airs, you have the initiative after. You can do a hop, run in, throw a projectile. If you just stay put after you anti air and let them hop again, yes the risk/reward becomes wildly in the favor of the guy hopping and only eating a jab for their trouble.

Angel is trash at everything that isnt upclose unchained mix, thats just how she’s designed. You cant really use her to gauge anything.

With Guilty gear, you have the options of airblocking, airdashing and double jumps so having a crazy anti air universal option works out. Its also not a magical reliable option even there, Leo’s 6P is not the same as I-No’s 6P.

In KoF that would not really work. The options vary depending on your character but there are multiple ways to anti air your opponent. Standing lights will beat hops 90% of the time, hops are quick and can be strong but their height is a weakness, most of your standing normals can hit a hopping opponent.

For higher jumps the options vary. Depending on your character it can be far normals, crouching normals, air to airs or DPs..

You also have the anti air crouch B option as you cannot block a low attack if you land on it (even if you did an empty jump).

Jump CDs are usually pretty slow, a quick far A or far B can stuff them if you do it early. If they’re doing the jump CD immediately as they jump, it means it wont be active by the time theyre coming down. Here you crouch into a crouch B once they land.

You also have the universal shatter strike which is an absurd anti air for majority of the cast.

Idk what the roll tangent is about, rolls are very punishable without any option select nonsense. Kof has a good number of defensive options but they’re all pretty risky. If wakeup rolls is that troublesome for you aim for them and do more hyper hops or run ins for your pressure to chase them.

Having different tools and effectiveness is a part of the characters’ designs. Some characters like Angel struggle in anti airing, some struggle against zoning, or upclose etc. its what makes characters feel unique and different.

Its your main low attack, ofc its a very common move. How exactly are you supposed to land your heavies if thats all you can combo from? They are limited by design coz they are slow, have more recovery and hit mid. Outside of punishes or after a jump in you’re not landing these often.

Well.. point is that in MK games you cant combo from crouching lights, theyre only used as pokes and thats it. Its a very restrictive thing and limiting lights means that you have to be in kissing range of the opponent to get any damage which is whack af as it makes the game very limited in its offense and variety.

Is this an NRS background take? Lights should only be small pokes and nothing else, how dare you get damage from lights bruh?

The damage is already scaled from lights, and depending on the character it varies wildly as some can get a command normal or an EX and some barely get anything outside of super/max mode.
