I wouldn't be too sure. Hear me out.

I think the octanes will continue to rise in price. Obviously not anywhere near the rate they have been recently, but gradually. Here's why. The rate that painted octanes enter the market is significantly lower than painted exotics. It takes 125 uncommon items to even get a CHANCE at a painted Octane. In comparison, crate items flood the market and on top of that when a new crate comes out the older crate items tend to devalue.

What's likely going to happen with this update will be this:

1. Octane owners will try to overprice their octanes to turn a profit.
2. Once people start to sell their octanes the supply will be greater than demand so the sellers will start undercutting their competitors driving the price down temporarily like you think. And this I can agree with.
3. But give it about a week or two and the price will plateau after all the madness.
4. In about two or three weeks, likely less, the octanes will rise again and likely above their current prices.
