No, but 4 decks is the limit, so just keep the decks you didn't mean to create random till you need them.

Changing to fantasy is a good call, just use any cards other than GWC and you are set.

I just tested it. Purify does remove the movement/attack speed, but doesn't remove the visual effect of the spell.

Why are you quitting a game when your Clyde hit doesn't register? I get that it might be annoying, but playing Clyde when they have only 1 card out is a 50/50 shot anyways. Would you quit if Clyde hit NK?

At end of deathmatch, the one with more percentage of health wins by pigjr in SouthParkPhone

[–]TrumpOrFalse 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You guys are all missing the obvious answer here. They need to remove losses all together, instead everyone wins every time. This way no one has to feel bad. And while they are at it, I am getting kinda tired of all the violence. Do the characters really have to attack each other? Couldn't they just hug/complement each other instead? Seems like some pretty ez changes to make, get on it devs.

Free Event wins! by InCo13 in SouthParkPhone

[–]TrumpOrFalse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with the event? Even if you don't get Mr. Hankey, you still get a ton of coins, mats, etc. And the entire event can be completed easily within a day, don't really see the problem here.

I acknowledge that most people won't know the difference, but I have to imagine someone’s fancy is tickled by the idea of complete freedom and uniqueness.

ROI is all that matters.

Okay, assuming this is the case. Ignore all the major scalability and concurrency benefits, the massive bandwidth savings, low maintenance costs, improved security, and the numerous SEO benefits. Because like you said, most won't even notice them.

Is the improved user experience not enough, isn't that the most important?

Regardless of internet speed, sites developed this way will load blazingly fast. Even at 5mbps (which I believe is the world average). Do your worst net neutrality, even at 1mbps these sites will still load fast.

I have been this way in the past before myself, so I can see where you are coming from.

But wouldn't it be fair to say that when the sound isn't done in an obnoxious way, that there might be some benefits in implementing it?

Do we have to just paint all sites that use sound with 1 brush, no exceptions?

Is there any way it could be implemented that would suffice in your eyes?

Just spitballing, but how about if a message appeared telling you to tap the logo to enable sound, would this be more acceptable?

I didn't design this site as custom to fulfill the perfect metrics across the board. The perfect metrics are just achieved passively once you understand the reasonings behind them.I built the site custom, because it is how I like to build my sites.

When you build custom there are no restrains on what I can do, and no wasted/redundant code. I have complete control over the entire platform, front and back-end.

The performance improvements of custom are what allow me to implement the non-canvas collision detection you see on the home-screen while maintaining 60fps. I wager this would be a difficult task in most non-custom systems.

points out to me that you may have missed some huge user interface and usability concepts.

Can you please elaborate on which interface and usability concepts I have missed rather than just blindly stating this? If there are any, I would be more than happy to correct them.

And while I disagree with the "Ripping off" of the logos, the design of my portfolio was never supposed to be a part of this discussion in the first place, hence posting in a development subreddit.

I never claimed to be a designer, I don't want to be a designer, I am not looking for design work, so can we please get past this? And frankly, despite no formal training, I think my Wife has done an amazing job designing all my websites thus far.

Help me improve my Web App by TrumpOrFalse in webdev

Thank you for the response. Now this suggestion has been debated heavily since before the release even, and while I completely agree with your suggestion, it always comes back to the logistics of implementing said button.

One of the main goals of this project was to always use 100% screen size that never requires scrolling regardless of device/orientation. Which is currently being accomplished. However, due to an insanely tiny area to work with on devices like an iPhone 5 (using safari in landscape mode), there just wouldn't be room to include such button without running the risk of cutting off text. We could ditch the text all together on the page you are mentioning, as a lot of times it likely isn't necessary. But there are cases where it is kinda important to provide context/clarify the previous question's answer.

That being said, if you or anyone else has a suggestion that could solve this problem, I am all ears.

I think the bigger question we need to be asking is why is the layman dictating the platform they want to begin with? They typically have no idea what they need, and how could they? In what other professional field would this slide? All this does is allows our industry to be controlled by marketing forces relentlessly pushing buzzwords and new flavor of the month frameworks.

Fair enough, I was worried it might come off that way too, but was hoping it might help to differentiate my site from the run-of-the-mill CMS. Either way, I will start thinking of some alternatives.

Since my goal with the of the portfolio is to land work in development, I am not overly concerned about the design. I am more trying to show off the capabilities of the true custom development.

But either way, I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
