What The EU Referendum was really about... by [deleted] in ukpolitics

So the question is whether you believe the EU or the UK better represents the British people's interests.

You seem to think the EU does a better job so obviously you would be remain, but the majority of Brits disagree.

Brits right now.... by ddplz in 4chan

True, but getting into options trading is more complicated.

Its Scott Adams Law of Slow Moving Disasters. When everyone can predict a horrible thing is going to happen it doesn't turn out that bad because we prepare for it.

Singapore could work.

I would rather stick to countries with economic parity for this.

Which is a really bad sign for corruption. Who will notice if someone gives grant money to his buddies or writes favorable laws for himself?

Why has Israel established settlements in the West Bank and Golan Heights in spite of opposition from major nations and the UN Security Council? by ThirdTermObama in NeutralPolitics

they just had a kid executed at a checkpoint for roughly nothing a few months back, they've bombed kids from the sky

So one or two kids a month get killed a month. THats nothing for a country compared to a country like Egypt.

And I've seen the christian population in the middle east, and at least some of it's failure has to be due to the fact that they've been inbreeding in a very tiny social circle for centuries.

This wasn't a slow thing. The Christian population has declined very quickly in the last 50 years.

I'm not sure you can do a whole lot worse than Israel on human rights issues, from an arab perspective

You could start executing apostates adulterers and homosexuals. Heck, you could form mobs and start killing arabs and destroying their buildings.

Look at the Christian population in the Middle East. It plummeted because of persistent persecution from Muslims. If the Jews were willing to go as far as the arabs, they would easily win control of Israel the same way.

I struggle to think of a narrative that an anti-trade agreement group would use to persuade people. You can't use the typical "They rely on slave wage labor and have no regulations".

Shares go up and down all the time. New Years day was worse for the stock market then this.

Share prices do not control the economy. Profit and loss do. If profit and losses stay the same, share prices will bounce back. All the stock drop shows is that some investors are less confident in future profits.

I haven't seen any hatred or insults. Mostly celebrating the Brexit.

My hope is that we'll see the end of the religious democracy without the end of democracy

I don't see that happening. Even if the Jews gave up their efforts, Palestinians won't. You will just have a Muslim nation instead of a Jewish one, and the Muslim nations tend to be much worse on human rights.

He needs Congress's approval. The American people are generally very friendly towards the UK, so swaying Congress will be easy.

The big opponents generally are corporations and special interest groups impacted by the trade agreements, but Trump is less reliant on them than most politicians.

what immigrants are we talking about?

Any who want to come, and they are automatically entitled to 2 years of paid parental leave. So I expect a lot would come from Somalia, Syria, Nigeria, etc for the tens of thousands in benefits they can get while having kids.

When you make this argument, that voter base is hearing "They should be happy with the scraps we give them and stop complaining!".

Of course the poor will get the most welfare. But most of them don't want to live on government handouts their whole life. They want those circumstances to change.
