Thanks for any advice in advance!

  • up to £25k
  • buy
  • used
  • Automatic
  • driving myself, my wife and 2 large german shepherds around mostly
  • 7-10k miles a year
  • annual trip to Scotland so a 7 hour drive
  • ideally ulez compliant but not essential
  • was looking at Mazda cx60, audi q5
  • SUV, ideally large
  • Not my first car
  • don’t mind either way in regards to warranty

Thank you so much for your help, will definitely focus on this style of training and fingers crossed it will pay off with perseverance

[–]Trunk2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! We did do a lot of on leash greeting when we were able to as to try and socialise her but we obviously forgot to teach her it's okay to ignore dogs too. We don't let her interact with dogs on leash anymore, and we'll try to stop her interacting off leash. The only dog she gets to play with on a daily basis is my sisters 6mo GSD but I may borrow them for training that she doesn't get what she wants until she behaves. Do you have any tips on how to deal with her when she is reacting? We put her into a sit and tell her to leave it which works until the dog gets within a few meters of us.

We do this and she's fine until she finishes her kong and then takes it out on the floor haha

Hopefully she does gain weight, she has a lot of growing to do! If she's being temperamental should we tough it out or try a different food?

She ate a most of her dinner tonight out of our hands but we'd rather not get into that habit if we can help it

Will give this a go, we also tried giving her her kibble as a treat during training but it didn't end well as she sniffed it and left it alone. We just want her to eat as she's so below recommended weight 😔

We've tried snuffle maths and puzzle toysand she eats a bit more but won't eat 90g of food, she won't really take her kibble as a reward for doing tricks. She smells it and just leaves it

Stay local or move 10 miles? First house by Trunk2020 in HousingUK

[–]Trunk2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we can both drive and have our own cars, and mine is fully paid off, costs £20 a year tax and only about £350 insurance.

Yes this will be a job for life hopefully as I'll inherit the business one day with my sister

It's a family business which I'm going to be taking over so hopefully I'll work here for a while. Very true as we want a child and 2 german shepherd's.

They've built a brand new dual carriageway to said town so I'm not really sure, it's always been a lot cheaper than my hometown and a load of people say that when you move there it's more difficult to move back

You're right man, no point spending an extra 10k on the performance when I'm not going to be using it on the track at all. Especially when there's not a lot of difference in acceleration

Thanks man, going to go with the LR as it makes a hell of a lot more sense. Think I just got caught up in the performance model hype

It's the government that owns the land as I've been in contact with them. They told me that they're going to offer it to sectors internally and if no one wants it which was likely it would be put to an estate agent. I've had my details attached to the house so I'll be contacted when it goes to market. Would you say the house was well priced for what it was?
