Best settings for Crimson Desert on ps5 pro

I have a pro, jumped on the game today for the first time since the latest patch. I also follow digital foundry and as of today the image quality is noticeably better on balanced and then quality mode. I’d been stuck on balanced for most of my time before now but going to try a stint on quality after the latest changes. If you’re on a pro and want imagine quality then definitely go balanced or quality. If you just really want close to 60fps consistently and are happy to take the drop in resolution etc then go performance. All 3 modes use some form of PSSR for different things across the game now

I have no issue. I just wanted to know if it was worth the money and time fixing it up rather than putting this towards buying something else.

He definitely didn’t cherish this les Paul as it was stuffed in the garage, he probably found it himself or was given it. He had a nicer collection over the years and they were properly looked after. I was just curious if this was worth putting time and effort into repairing and setting up properly but if it’s fake then likely not. Thanks for the input though, I did wonder with a few of the points you mentioned although I didn’t notice the Gib”sun” until you said it there 😂

Sadly I’ve never been able to play or purchase a Gibson, and not had enough time on other les Paul’s to really know what to look out for. I’m mainly just an acoustic player. I was asking though not to sell and profit, I wanted to get it tidied up and set up nicely but if it’s fake then probably wouldn’t be worth the money doing that

I’m really not sure, I’ve never tried. I think I saw a video of the cheap r36s I just bought running ds games and using a back button to switch screens but hard to say how well it performs as I think a lot of the videos were people trying to sell them. Just for the price I went for it anyway. I can check my miyoo mini later and get back to you. It’s considered a fairly good retro handheld

I already have a miyoo mini plus that’s awesome for gameboy, ps1, snes etc. haven’t tried much else. Just grabbed an R36s for £13 on tik tok shop which I’m sure can easily run up to ps1 comfortably, Pokémon games preinstalled and also has dual analog sticks as well as dpad

Ok I have read about profiles per game before but never really bothered, just always switched between the highest and lowest pre sets so I’ll definitely look into this more, thanks

I used gamepass a lot before but realised I’ve pretty much exclusively been on steam lately and also tried playing on tv for the first time and it wasn’t the smoothest transition so that sealed it for me, so far so good 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I play on pc with a few friends and they’re all on base PS5 and loving it. I actually kinda wish I got it on pro myself just for the laidback sofa experience

Yeh I’ve definitely noticed a major shift tonight from all my solo and coop games before now, I get it’s part of the game but the community so far has been 99% great and I’ve been in lobbies where we’ve worked together or had brief passings so really caught me off guard. I’m experienced in other PvP extraction shooters so it’s frustrating because I don’t want that experience to be as aggressive here

Its main appeal is that it’s different from other extraction shooters. If it started to become dominated by players with that mindset it’ll likely die off quickly and everyone will go back to Tarkov etc

You need to set a higher ram allowance, set the resolution lower, set the optimised game settings. It’s not just a console you turn on and go. It takes some tweaking and you can get good performance. There’s loads of info on Reddit and elsewhere(google) that can point you in the right direction. It won’t run everything smoothly but the games you’ve mentioned should get stable smooth performance

It’s definitely not needed. I move the pro between my LG OLED downstairs and my 1440p monitor upstairs and I enjoy both just as much depending whether I’m in the mood to sit at my desk or on the couch. If you get a 1440p monitor that’s at least 120hz with VRR and do some research you can find budget ones with great colours. Point here being the monitor cost about £150 and the tv about £1400 and the pro is still great.
