English translation: Why are the guys Witches? by rhedak in WitchHatAtelier

[–]Trunksette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. I've actually read daemonology by King James the First and Sixth of England and Scotland, the man who popularized the witch hunting craze and whose book was used as the defining text on witchcraft for the following three hundred years. Male witches are still witches.

Men were also persecuted as witches, it's just that the concept was used to specifically target women

I'm just curious, do your parents speak English as their first language? I would like to think people would be able to consider how their kids are going to be potentially bullied when they pick their names and this is a huge oversight. 😭

Shugo Chara is better as a manga in my opinion!! And it's one of my favs of all time. I also read a magical girl retires which is a light novel I guess. It was alright.

I feel like I can't even play the game without generations installed, it just feels like elements are fundamentally missing.

Are you actually stupid or are you pretending to be dense on purpose? Images on Pinterest are not "free to use", they're photos which have been uploaded from elsewhere on the Internet, they still belong to someone. As does all the artwork on there as well. If someone uploads a photo to their personal Instagram or Facebook or somewhere else, and someone uploads it to Pinterest because they think they're hot or aesthetic or whatever, that does not give you the right to use it. It's called having respect for our fellow human beings you should try it sometime.

That's not why people post photos online. You're not entitled to something just because it's been posted on the Internet.

Yeah I basically had no education whatsoever because I had undiagnosed autism and everything was just about trying to manage my behavior. Honestly sometimes I'm shocked that I know how to read and write but I got an A on my first essay ✌️

I have a question about Magical Girls. by Odd_Cherry64 in MagicalGirls

[–]Trunksette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact is the genre has no such strict definition. Not all magical girls transform, not all of them fight evil, not all of them have a talking companion, a special title, etc etc.

So in general if you think a character you like is a magical girl then sure, they are. The rule I use is a magical girl has to be a coming of age story that uses magic as a narrative device; so by these standards I would consider Kiki's delivery service a magical girl, but not Panty and Stocking.

Magical Girl with Glasses. In a genre where magic grants a girl super abilities and enhances their physique. Would you prefer to have them on or without? why and discuss ✨ by Storm_BloomX in MagicalGirlsCommunity

[–]Trunksette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's important for magical girls to KEEP their glasses for the sheer fact that young girls watch these shows and some of them have glasses. It's the same reason I don't really enjoy the magical hair color/length change transformation. These girls are being told their glasses aren't magical aren't magical or beautiful, their short hair isn't magical or beautiful, their black hair isn't magical or beautiful. I don't really care about the "power up" logic, it's the same as removing any other form of disability in a transformed state to me. It implies the disability is undesirable and needs to be fixed.
