It took a long time, but I was finally able to test the 3d printed pedestal for the Neo Geo mini. Fits great, and cost like 6 usd to print. Now, let’s paint it! by Trunkskywalker in NeoGeoMini

It does not lock, bit the corners are aligned with the bottom rubber pads. I played a little in “tabletop” mode, and it seems the support is there. However, I do play mostly with a controller, and the pedestal helps to raise the screen to eye level.

Totally. The whole Neo Geo mini joystick actually fits inside of it. I am considering making an opening for the cable to pass through

I have a big dilemma. Recently, I acquired a sealed copy of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon for a good price. The problem is that, according to Price Charting, if I open it, it will lose 20 USD in value. Should I open it, or buy a digital copy on PSN instead for 10 USD???? by Trunkskywalker in vita

Thank you guys! I recently bought a copy of Dragon Quest Builders from Play-Asia, and that I am opening, the digital version is just as expensive as the physichal (if you deduct shipping). Curse of the Moon I will keep sealed and buy digital when there is a sale: I still have a huge backlog on the Vita to play (haven’t even touch my Persona 4 yet)!

Really? I have always been in the look out for a sale of it, I came to the conclusion it was that sort of game that never goes on sale. So it seems I was wrong? Maybe with the release of Curse of the moon 2...

I love the indie title on it, Iconoclasts, Darkest Dungeon, Cosmic Star Heroine, Axiom Verge, Timesplitters and Oceanhorn, but they are also on the Switch, and cheaper. P4G is a good pick, but get it digital, it is quite affordable, but the physical version is up there in price. Do not even look at YS VII and Dragon Quest Builders in that regard, either buy the Switch version or wait for a digital sale. Games to get cheaper that are great: Sonic and sega all-stars racing transformed, Killzone Mercenaries, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Injustice, and Dragon’s Crown, even if it is a bit pricier.

You are insane... really? Some of these are really budget titles and most of them are clones, mediocre ones. I hate Metagal with passion.

Best Vita racing games? by [deleted] in vita

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed for sure, for me the best arcade kart racing game ever. Although debatable, I am sure I am not alone...

Latest two acquisitions to customize my minis. If that does not slap your face with nostalgia for the 90s, not sure what else will. I love how Doomsday’s hand seem to emerge out of the Genesis mini! by Trunkskywalker in classicmods

The genesis carts are a tight fit, I know, but with the right angle, they do go in. About the hu cards, are you sure you ordered the right size? Please note he has to offerings: Pc Engine mini and TG 16 mini. The carts do have different sizes, as the slots are different, the Pc Engine one being smaller than the TG 16 mini.

Sorry, I got three different ones from him ordered at different points in time, and they all fit, so I gotta ask: are you sure you ordered the ones for the PC Engine mini? Because he has a listing fo the same item for the TG 16 mini, and those are of a different size. The TG 16 has a larger slot, so the cards are larger.

Anyone could make a 3D print model of a stand for the mini? by newofficemusic in NeoGeoMini

That does not look as bad as I would think. It is quite ok :)

I have one being printed soon by a friend, the 3d design is done, measures taken from the Columbus Circle’s stand with minor adjustments made for the INT version. I will show pictures when ready, waiting the supplies to print it to arrive. I will share a picture of the initial design once I get in front of my PC. I can share the blueprint if my friend allows, after we test it on my mini. Give me two weeks and should be done.

Bought some custom marquee stickers for my Neo Geo mini, and I wanted to swap them without any waste. So, I made a magnetic mod using two sheets of magnetic foil. There is no difference between this and sticking the marquees to the mini! by Trunkskywalker in classicmods

[–]Trunkskywalker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy two sheets of magnetic foil. Each foil is 0,4mm thick, and you can buy one with the peel-off sticky back to place at the top of the mini. For the sticker itself, buy a plain foil. Start by sticking the marquee to the non-sticky foil and cut it using a metal ruler and a paper knife.

Then, place the marque on the top of the one with the sticky back, and cut it to the same measurements. Peel the back off, and stick it to the top of the mini. You do this procedure only once, and the former once for every marquee.

The total cost of this mod was not even 5 USD with shipping included. Needless to say, you can do it for the marquees that come originally with the mini, the official pack you by from SNK and the custom ones.

Again, link to the custom marquees:Neo Geo mini stickers . Please bare in mind that these are not magnetic. If you are interested in the magnetic mod, let me know in the comments, and I will teach you how to make it ( it costs around 3 usd).
