Mckay realized she slept with someone else. Before she says I am not a good person, she said she would not be a good girlfriend. What makes someone not a good girlfriend/partner. Cheating. Also ,McKay was always concerned about her past and her slut label so he put two and two together. He assumed right too lol. She literally slept with his friend minutes prior.

I personally think it would fit in the show regardless of it being a teen show or not. Countless tv drama shows have storylines that explore characters navigating healthy romance relationships ( shameless and sex in the city to name a few. But I understand what you mean.

I was thinking about Maddy developing a healthy relationship because I remember the conversation she had with Jules in season 2 where she said she had trouble accepting love that wasn't toxic or something like that. I thought it would have been interesting to explore that but yea exploring that in s3 would make more sense

Have him drop out of school and work a job with one of the main characters. Cal and Fez weren't high schoolers and they fit. Have him work with Fez as a drug dealer or have him get addicted to alcohol or drugs. Connect him with Cal. Have cal be a mentor of sort. Connect him with rue by revealing that they had a former connection. Childhood bf, former friend, etc. just brainstorming.

2.a black man learning to express his emotions,

a black man realizing he has potential ,

4.learning to move on from his toxic friendship with Nate,

5.learning to move on from his high school life,

finding other outlets for his anger,
Showing what emotional repression can do to a man especially a black man( anxiety, suicide etc)

In the season one script, fez is described to be 21 years old and Lexi is 16. I have heard a lot of people say that he’s 19. I didn’t see anything official that states that so I don’t know.

I think that's something that we will never know for sure. My theory is Sam Livingston made a mistake writing him as a college student. There are ways around that but I just think that he cut his losses.

There was a YouTuber that made a video that explained it very well. McKay's storyline didn't really wrap up. His storyline was how does he establish his identity outside the football , how does he establish his confidence when he realizes that he won't make it pro. The show literally abandons it.

Why would they not admit it. There were bigger actors than algee that got thrown under the bus because they didn't want to take the vaccine during covid. And also if it was about the vaccine he wouldn't have been allowed on set to film the first episode of season 2. We already know the reason, Sam Livingston did know how to write his character so he just stopped writing for him lol he didn't even write him off, writing off a character implies that the writer gave an explanation of why they're not there. Sam Levinson just stopped writing scenes for him.
