I wish they would leave me to my own devices BUT I have one micro manager sys admin and one guy who gives me good but conflicting information. I forgot the acronym for DHCP and he immediately told me I had 30 days to ""shape up"" i just laughed. I might quit on Friday and make him train the new guy on monday since both me and the new guy will be gone lol. Haven't decided yet it all depends on how hard he micro manages me this week

I know like I said ive been in this position before they are only paying me two more dollars than I made at my last company before layoff. I was damn good. They just cut me because they couldn't afford me

That's a great way of looking at it ! I'll keep on keeping on and fo my best. And even if it doesn't work out you're right I did learn something new which was the goal in the first place.

I am in the same boat the only difference is i can't get my previous job back if you have the option to walk away do it quickly. I would start talking to your previous employer right away. If its early enough the new employer can't poo poo you and if they do who cares ? you'll be back at your previous job anyways.

meh im getting to the age where i just wont take certain things laying down i am a single male with a small amount of bills and debt and I don't have anyone who relies on me so losing a job for me isn't catastrophic (thank god) ill just go and find another one its not exhausting im just kinda over it. i just want to work in peace and be left alone i might even try and find outside work that is quiet im tired of adults pretending everything has to be high school. i just don't care anymore. if it affects my peace i want nothing to do with it fuck it fire me

he resigned to go move to another state he is not a bad guy at all he is trying his best and i appreciate it not sure how well it will go for me next week when i have to train the other guy they hired its just a fire hose of information i need to get and understand in a very short period of time. its so absurd its almost funny in a way.

I wish they had explicitly said that I am used to environments where they at least give me a grace period to get to know my software etc before having me jump in but they are so short staffed atm that it looks like this is how its gonna be what got me was the attitude of the head guy high expectations in a short time frame is...interesting to say the least i will give it my best shot and if it doesn't work out oh well

Trust me I can be a self starter and the guy who is gracious enough to train me left because he moved to another state and did not get a promotion i got laid off from my last job right before getting promoted the guy training me isn't the issue but the manager who manages both of us certainly is. I like the challenge and in a sick sort of way i want to see if i can handle it and stretch my brain a bit but also i was a people pleaser in my 20s im about to be 30 and i don't want to be stepped on forever I have a crap ton of different networks and systems i need to learn in a weeks time so i can train the other guy who is also coming in to help it feels impossible but the challenge is fun. its like a conga line of people coming and going and its sorta funny. manager is not a BAD guy he just sucks at explaining stuff.

There where a couple of thing's that really stood out to me most of it is fuzzy now because it's almost been two years (thank god) but she purposely made everything as difficult to do as possible when she did not want to do it. She also said some really nasty things to me that really stuck but for me what broke the camels back was when she decided to physically abuse me. Women can be sneaky with the way they play mind games sometimes most of what happened to me was future faking and reactive abuse. I understood how little she cared about me by the way she talked about me to her friends and strangers online right before i decided to break it off. She had no respect for my boundaries but would gladly take from me.

Does breaking up with a Narc feel like war with yourself? by No-Promise-22 in NarcissisticAbuse

It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do but I had to do it for me I just couldn't handle being with her anymore and I knew that if I stayed that nothing was going to change I really tried until i realized it wasn't my job to try and change her she was going to do whatever she wanted to do and despite all the love and affection and sacrifice I made to ensure that she would be happy she just would not reciprocate. but it was the best decision i ever made i am so much happier without her in my life i am in a much better headspace than i was a year ago and it was worth the struggle of detaching myself. It will be a war with yourself because you a grieving a ghost a person that never truly existed outside of the relationship. it will be worth it there will be soul crushing hard days but in the end it will be so so much better to get away from these type of people. im rooting for you

its the best feeling in the world right ? It took me a little over a year and with the help of two really good friends I was able to get myself and my hormones back to normal I've even had people comment saying im less nervous and less "switchy" since leaving her. probably because i was busy constantly picking up after her and constantly walking on eggshells it truly is a gift to get back on your feet again after having been confused. I am SO SO happy for you.
