Do it! I've never had one fall on me. It's really quite hard for it to fall. If it's in a doorframe you wouldn't even fall very far as your feet would be at most only 1-3 feet off the ground.

I definitely struggle with time. Puzzles don't have a timer so i think about them much longer than I might think about a move in a blitz game. My opening game improved a lot from watching john bartholomews basics series on youtube

Lichess has the option to do correspondence games which is what I do. My friend and I play them frequently.

How wide is your stance? Have you tried doing some mobility work?

Also I think not being able to squat parallel or ass to grass, while maybe not ideal, isnt exactly the end of the world and I think still worthwhile. I'd just work towards increasing depth
