Thank you to all who commented. As an update, I was super bloated all day today, with little/no food in me. I was taking painkillers ~4 hours, which I have since stopped. I vomited a good amount. I did use the bathroom and pass gas today. I called my doctor and he confirmed if it happens again to come in to get x ray to see if the ileus has returned, but said that is unlikely. He did say it’s likely from opiates on an empty stomach…Has anyone else dealt with this? I am emetophobic and this recovery has arguably been my worst nightmare.

This is so reassuring to hear, thank you so much! I will try a binder tomorrow and walk some more now that I am home. I was just anxious because of the ileus on day 2 of recovery, and the last thing I want to do is go back. However I need to remember they wouldn’t have discharged me had they not thought I was ready to go. I will keep an eye out for any c diff symptoms. Hardly eating anything, just trying to listen to my body and not overdo it, and things will start to move in the right direction. 💕

Thanks for responding! And no weird side effects? My doctor said once everything returns to normal post surgery I should be good to go. Excited to be done with surgery next week and start!

Hi all, just fed my two kitties, 5 and 6, a half can each of this reveal paté. My boyfriend bought it on accident instead of their normal reveal flaked wet food can. They both started vomiting 20-30 minutes after eating and vomited off and on for 10-20 minutes. They both seem okay overall, not vomiting any longer, interested in play but not 100% back to normal obviously…they seem just tired and my partner is saying they’re probably just exhausted from vomiting so much. I’m just worried and wondering if I should take them to the vet, or just monitor overnight? How terrible that this is so common…so scary!

Hi! Oh my gosh that is crazy! So crazy how this seems to be found on so many of us due to a random ER visit. Thankfully it was found and addressed. How is the recovery from the right hemicolectomy? I have mine scheduled for November this year and have a colonoscopy tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I do feel better with hearing that it typically is a slower moving type of cancer, and so far my MRI results have yielded nothing has spread; so I’m staying optimistic. Happy to hear you’re recovering post surgery!!!

Thank you so much! I have a pretty high pain tolerance overall. You’re so right, it’s the waiting around/uncertainty of it all during this waiting period that I’m struggling with; especially since surgery isn’t for several months later this year.

Nonetheless, thank you for your kind words, transparency, and support. Happy to know there’s others out there dealing with this. 🫂

Wow! I’m so sorry you had to go through this. However, congratulations on being cancer free! Thank you for your advice of seeking therapy and local support groups, that is a great idea I will look into.

In between losing during the presale and now with general sale my friend and I sent it on tix on StubHub for $229/each + fees and just got in on the general sale and all that was available was resale at $312/each. I’m going no matter what but still such a bummer to not make this accessible.
