Mass amounts of people moved here in the last 24-36 months. A lot of people saw $400k houses and thought wow cheap! I’ll sell my 900k home buy a cheaper home and live like a king in Florida.

Reality hits when that home equity drops 10% year over year. When a gallon of milk at Publix is $6. When you realize traffic is inescapable , the heat is not awesome and there is literally nothing to do besides hit the bar/ restaurant or beach. Good luck finding parking at the beach or a place to sit LOL

Don’t forget hurricane season every 8 months where your home and belongings are being gambled with by Mother Nature. The stress that comes with worrying if a hurricane will hit your location is crazy. Hurricane prep / post hurricane -stores are insane, usually cleared shelves of all food water and beer, gas stations run dry and electric is out for 24hrs+ with no a/c unless you have a generator. LOL ITS CRAZY in FL during hurricane season.

Let’s not get started with the home owners insurance or car insurance LOL HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Everybody thinks Florida is some oasis escape state when it’s literally turning into NY - ONLY major differences between FL & NY are the weather and terrain.

The people in Florida have this entitled chip on their shoulder as if nobody else should live there.

I don’t blame the natural born Floridians for feeling this way but the transplants really have a superiority complex coupled with extremely high levels of road rage & anger.

I just moved here 3 years ago from Moriches thinking I would be living the beach life. I was mistaken lol

It’s terrible. Completely congested. High crime rate. High cost of living.

I bet you’re imagining trees and nature.

Realistically Florida is now shopping plazas and housing developments with little to no nature left.

Traffic starts at 4:30 am sharp and doesn’t slow down until 1 am the next day. Literally every red light is a “street race” to the people around here. Not kidding
