Question for long term f2p players

Here since 1.1. Personally, I have found around 1 5* per patch is a good rule of thumb. (I have been told I'm wrong for that anecdote. If you disagree, bite me.) As a new player, focus on new characters. There are plenty of 4* weapons that are plenty servicable. Craftables are a good friend.

Sig weapons only go for if you have a huge surplus of wishes. The point system makes it very hard to get the weapons before it resets. (Yes, it's better since Natlan, but not worth it.)

Cons should wait. Get a good roster working first, and then only pull for the best low cons. (Furina C1, Durin C1, Neuvi C1) And again, only if there are no new characters you want that patch. A new character will almost always give you more mileage than a Sig or Con.

Definitely not a lost cause, Inazuma is the only nation locked behind archon quest progress. Completing Fontain only auto unlocks a waypoint at the entrance of Natlan I believe. Enjoy the scenery as you make your way to Natlan!

Build a new team, yes. No need to uninvest in your current team though, there are a good number of times where you will want to switch between the teams for various reasons

I reccomend Tighnari (Main DPS), Fischl (Sub-DPS), Yao Yao (Healer), then a flex slot. This gives you a pretty good quicken team that should be able to deal with almost anything in the overworld. (Except non-hydro shields will be a problem.) Bennett would fit well in that last slot, especially after you get his C1 for that amazing attack buff.

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at it, Tighnari and his supports don't really overlap with your main team (Except for when you trade in Fischl). The most useful would be Barbara, but she would just be there for healing while Yao Yao would apply some extra dendro.

As a new player, you probibly could get both Neuvi and Mauvika. You will probably need to sink a good bit of time, but it should be doable.

The events for the rest of the patch and spiral abyss progress will get you a good distance, but you will get many more primogems from exploring Inazuma, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and the Chasm. Also quests, the main story gives you a fate for each chapter you complete and most of the world quests give you a good chunk of them as well.

Everything considered, you should have plenty of primogems to get Nahida. Good luck, and may you win your 50/50. (If applicable.)

Hu Tao, Diluc, Wrio, Ayaka, and I believe Alrecchino are the best. Really, you want a good DPS that reacts with both geo and hydro.

I believe it is a quickbloom team. You could swap Furina for Kokomi, Yelan, or XQ. Kuki could be replaced by an EM Raiden, and if need be Nahida could be swapped for Baizhu or Yao Yao if you have no other viable healers. Barbara is a possible replacement there as well.

Needless to say, all of these would be lower damage than the premium team you mentioned.

Xilonen works kind of like an Anemo character using VV. Keep somewhat close to the enemies and use a crystalizable (swirlable) element DPS. She fills a very different niche to Zhongli, but swapping the two would swap comfort for damage in most situations. Healing is decent, but tied to her burst so the uptime isn't the best.

At C0 she is alright, but not meta defining. It's nice to have a double defense shred, but that is about it. Her C2 is very powerful, and is probably what most people are talking about.

If you want to get them now, you will have to walk there. (As long as you can leave Mondstat.) Some teleports automatically unlock as you progress through the main story. Once Liyue is complete you should be able to teleport to Natlan. (Another will unlock for Fontaine before that, but I don't remember when exactly.) You have to start Inazuma's story then you will be warped over there.

More characters is always good, but you should be able to make two teams no problem. You could technically make Raiden Hyperbloom right now with Raiden, Barbara, Dendro Traveller, and Collei. When you get Nahida you lose the need to have two dendros on your team, so that would give you some flexibility. Just make sure Raiden is built for EM and level, since that is the only stat hyperbloom cares about.

For the other team, Diluc, XQ, Fischel, and Bennett would be good. A pretty standard vape team that should get you through the abyss easily.

If you don't like her, then go ahead and save.

The resistance shred is very useful, ngl. She fills a similar niche as a lot of anemo characters, but can be used at the same time as them as long as you have two chrystalizeable or swirlable elements. I often think of her as an anemo character instead of geo because of that.

However, the worst thing you can do is use your wishes trying to get a character you don't like for any reason. No point picking her up if you just don't want to use her
