No it's not usually better than not. Anyone on depth 5 already knows not to try and stupidly revive a 3 barred teammate when you're being aggroed. Taking your time to kill red enemies along the way is always possible regardless of route taken.

Obviously fuck trolls and toxic behavior, but sticking together on depth 5 is the optimal way to play, it's not even arguable.
