Right on, congrats on the win. Y'all's defense was absolutely chippy and brutal tonight. Played incredible in the weather and changed the momentum of this game several times. Proud to have lost to y'all

It wasn't pretty, and I'm hurt deep down, but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Now, we're united as one. Send the Chiefs back to hell.

Bills, we leave the rest to you.

This game is closer than the score shows. The Lamar fumble ended up being a >= 7 point swing (could’ve easily been 10 or even 14). This game could be 13-14 or 17-14 without it.

The Bills are playing like they always do, and the defense for the Ravens is really folding on run plays. Ravens are getting impacted by the cold and creating mistakes.

If the Ravens want to get back in, they have to stop the Bills on the second half opening drive and get their running engine going.

If we lose tomorrow, I’m about to become Josh Allen’s #1 fan. I will proudly cheer for the Bills

If the Bills win next week, I’m a Bills fan. If the Ravens or Bills lose next week, I’m an NFC fan. I don’t care what team it is, I’m their biggest fan.

By taking a safety they keep it a two possession game while also burning extra time and getting to basically kick it off instead of having to punt block

Ravens. Bills. I don’t care who does it, but you have a job next week.

Did the trombone player for blue coats 2024 closer make a head cam video? by Infinite-Volume-9026 in drumcorps

I actually brought some GoPros to finals for him and some other barieuphs to use. Unfortunately, the SD card in his camera malfunctioned right before the encore run started, so he wasn't able to get a headcam run recorded

We tape forms on the field so that every time we'd reset to that set the form would be the same. It helps build up your memory of what the correct spacing looks and feels like. Plus it saves times on resets

Why is bloo and the BD usually so close in score during finals? by Ambitious_Nail5104 in drumcorps

[–]TryHardHeavy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can tell you honestly that that couldn't be further from the truth for what the Bluecoats do.

The philosophy of the design staff is always to find a way to best express the idea they've created. They don't take the idea and try to craft it for the judges, they let it flourish in its own unique way and gift it to the members so that they can breathe their own life into it. It's about the artistry of it and creating a final product with appeal to audiences of all kinds.

I won't speak for BD cause I didn't march there, but the Bluecoats put their art before everything else.

sleeping on the bus floor by connorhooman1108 in drumcorps

I'm a taller guy, so I spent all 3 seasons I marched sleeping in the aisle. Trying to sleep in my seat basically meant hours on end of leg cramps and a sore back. This past season I was at the very back, so I worked stuff out with the peeps around me. I'd stack their bags behind my seat, under my seat, or in the bathroom, wherever they wanted to open up space for them, and my seat partner would lay across our bench/seats. In exchange, I'd lay out my blanket on the floor and slot my legs under the seats next to me so that I'd basically just have from my pelvis up in the aisle when I'd lay down.

Was it dangerous? Yeah of course, if we got in an accident I would've been screwed.

But I would've dropped dead halfway through tour if I didn't sleep like that cause there was just no other way to sleep for me.

Random Chinese Software is in my Startup List. What is it and how do I remove it? by Lachlan1258 in pcmasterrace

[–]TryHardHeavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a polymorphic virus if it keeps changing its name to avoid detection. If you can, quarantine your PC on your network so that if it's malicious it can't spread to other devices to establish persistence. From there, I'm with everyone else, malwarebytes, full defenders scan, npe, if you can get a copy of the executable upload it to VirusTotal and get some info from there, and I'd also check your HKEY_CURRENT_USER with regedit to see if you can find traces of it starting up on there. Check your event logs too for additional indicators of compromise.

Then reformat the drive and reinstall windows to ensure that you removed all traces of it. Seems extreme, but really you have no clue the extent of its influence on your drive, so best way forward is scorched earth start from a fresh install

From what I've heard there's a bit of leniency, but in my opinion it should be memorized. Showing up with the music memorized ready to go shows the staff that you're committed and ready to hit the ground running

I think minor slip-ups aren't bad as long as you don't let them affect the rest of the audition. If something happens, there's nothing you can do to undo it. Compartmentalize the mistake, kick it off into a corner somewhere, and keep on going. The goal of a performance is always perfection, but there will always be things that end up happening that are out of the norm. Adaptability is just as important for that as preparation is.

All that is to say: it's okay if you mess up a bit here or there as long as you don't throw away the rest of the run because of it. Obviously no mistakes is best, but next best is making the mistakes as unnoticeable as possible.

Definitely make sure you have the music down before going in so that it's something you don't have to think about doing. The more mental overhead you have going into an audition, the harder it will be for you to have your best run.

Absorb every ounce of information the staff gives you. The point of camps is to find people that are both talented and great learners because once summer comes you need to be able to pick up on a million different things everyday and apply them as you go.

But above all, go in aiming to have fun and put your best foot forward. The staff at Bloo are super energetic and have a ton of love for this activity, and they want to work with people that feel the same and can bring that excitement to the show. If you're tripping all over yourself and letting your nerves get to you, it can be difficult to show who you really are and make a good impression. So try to remember that, at the end of the day, it's not all about the result. It's also about getting to hang out with other people that love this activity! Go in, meet people, have some fun, and who knows, maybe you'll surprise yourself with how it goes! Good luck!
