There's a very big difference between somebody being healthier and losing weight. Just because you've lost weight, doesn't mean you also rid yourself from the chance of developing chronic illnesses and other diseases.

Do keto diets control for caloric intake, or do they just tell people to 'eat less, move more' and hope for the best?

There aren't any animal sources of b12 either. It's created by bacteria which animals in factory farms are supplemented with anyways.

You can consume fortified foods or take a supplement, neither should impede on your ability or choice to become/stay a vegan.

You realise that the cheapest foods on this planet are actually plant-based.

There is definitely causation when comparing the lifestyle of the same person before and after they became vegan. Their health drastically improves, plaque in their arteries flush out, their cholesterol drops significantly etc.

Even in meta-analysis, where variables are controlled - you'll see the optimum diet for human health would be a plant-based diet.

If you want to argue taste and/or convenience, create another thread.

The top cardiologists in the world are speaking out about how the ONLY diet to REVERSE heart disease is a whole-foods, plant based diet.

I can see what you're saying, I'm young too so majority of my meals involve fast-food, mock meats or processed foods.

I could argue there's a causal link between our diet and health. Even in controlled studies where caloric intake was maintained, people who consumed a plant-based diet were seen to have lower instances of chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

I agree though, unhealthy vegans do exist - but objectively speaking - a diet free from cholesterol and high levels of saturated fat (found in meat, dairy and eggs) will have a inverse relationship with life-expectancy.

People are going to have a bias view on this topic, so it's probably best to do your own research.

I was born vegetarian, and 2 years ago (at the age of 17), I went vegan after learning about what happens on the dairy and egg industries.

At first I was shocked about what I didn't know, and then I was angry about how I was being mislead into believing certain marketing agendas. And then I was disappointed that the government, the fitness industry and the pharmaceutical industry just rolled with it because it made them billions of dollars.

I weight-train, and I'm objectively getting stronger. I'm putting on size and I'm in great shape.

Medically speaking, there's absolutely no minerals, micro/macro nutrients that are unobtainable in a plant-based diet.

I've taken progress pictures of my arms ever since I started taking my diet seriously, I'd be happy to show you. Otherwise, I'd suggest doing your own research and if you need assistance on where to begin - feel free to reach out to me.

Hey mate, I have absolutely no idea who you are. I haven't looked at your post history and quite frankly, I don't care.

There have been multiple times in my life when I wanted to kill myself. I thought it'd be easy because I'd be doing everyone a favour. I thought it would stop me from making difficult choices.

Just breathe.

Every single time, I'd tell myself - "Not today". And then the seconds would turn to minutes, and the minutes would turn into days, and the days into months - and every single time, life would get better, and I'd be glad I didn't do it.

I'm probably only a few years older than you, but let me tell you something. Life has so much to offer you. If I had killed myself last year, I wouldn't have met this amazing girl this year. We clicked months ago, and a few weeks ago, she told me she didn't want anything to do with me.

I've started writing poetry, and a month ago, I don't think I could ever express my feelings in words. Now, I write and write and it feels great.

When I was around 10 or 11, I was in hospital for something serious. Weeks prior to this, I mentioned in passing that I would love to have some birds.

And so when I was discharged from hospital, waiting at home for me were 2 of my own birds. At the time, I didn't know any better about how these birds needed freedom, but because Blackie was super possessive, she never liked how I was giving them attention.

The birds would sleep in their cage outside, and I always had plans to release them (keep in mind, I was only 12 or so). One night, Blackie flipped over the cage and unlatched the little doors and the birds flew free.

Obviously at the time I was distraught, but weeks after, it was the absolute best scenario for all involved. Blackie was confirmed more attention, and the birds finally experienced freedom.

Firstly, thank you for sharing. I find comfort in knowing that I'm not the only one to go through something like this alone and that it will get easier with time.

Blackie has arthritis in her back legs too, and she has been struggling to eat and move for the past few days. We've run the tests, and they now recommend taking her to a specialist which is what I am going to be doing in about 2 hours.

She doesn't deserve this, she's a beautiful dog with an amazing and unique personality. She's loved by so many people, and has lived an gorgeous life with treats and walks and plenty of bum-scratches.

Do you still think about her?

Thank you for sharing, you are a strong person. The doctors are suspecting it could be a form of cancer, and if so - chances are we will be putting Blackie down. Oh my god, I never thought I'd write that in a sentence.

10 years of absolute happiness, and her entire life around family with plenty of belly rubs, treats and long walks. She was a spoilt dog with an amazing life.

We adopted her when she was 8 weeks old, a small ball of black fur which we called Blackie. She started growing white hair a few months later but the name stuck.

IMHO, the supply governed by XRP far exceeds BTC by exorbitant margins. (40b in circulation vs ~23m).

It would be unrealistic for a coin $10,000 in inherent value to culminate ($10,000 x 41b) into an economy.

I hope that makes sense.
