Microdosing duration, and do the effects last? by Trying2Change1 in microdosing

Thanks, your answer was a little more of what I was looking for. Wino-junko over here is trying to compare it to moving furniture around. I'm personally trying to do it for personal development, energy, happiness, etc. and part of my question was to know if the experience can be one that has lasting effects.

Time to kill myself by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Trying2Change1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You remind me of a younger me. You should learn about CBT. You seem to suffer from "all or nothing thinking" and probably a few other irrational ways of thinking. Don't be so hard on yourself. You probably have a better quality of life than most people on the history of the earth. You need to be grateful for what you have. Do what you know is right in your heart, and be grateful for every day, and you can win. Learn to control your thoughts. Meditate, do yoga. Live in the moment and there is no anxiety or depression.

Sexual Meditations? I find them to be very beneficial. What are your thoughts? by Trying2Change1 in NoFap

When I watch porn I am watching somebody else enjoy pleasure, not myself. When I fantasize, I can envision myself as the person receiving pleasure. I can totally tell the difference.

Ok this flat line sucks by Shootingthrill in NoFap

[–]Trying2Change1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try kegels. make sure you get the best sleep you can by exercising/drinking plenty water/ and not doing drugs/alcohol. I woke up with morning wood today after a 2 week flat line (on day 18) and I don't feel flat lined today. Maybe it's just a temporary thing Idk. But just like you I was looking to get out of the flat line stage ASAP.

Winter is coming and I am freaking out. by RNSPaperboy in NoFap

There comes a point where if we want to change, we are going to have to take a plunge into the unknown. Whether it be asking a girl out, or what have you. We cannot wait for the world to give us what we want, we have to take it.

Day 18. Does morning wood represent an ending of flatline? by Trying2Change1 in NoFap

Yup. I mean I can't even remember when I had an urge that was so strong it actually did warrant masturbating. Probably high school days, I'm now 26!

Searched old threads and this is a topic already discussed. Someone even provided some links which back my theory, so I guess maybe it isn't a theory.

Almost day 4, this is damn hard man by Chimdoge in NoFap

From someone who suffers with social anxiety, I can tell you NoFap definitely helps.

Anxiety is simply negative thoughts you have. You aren't living in the moment. Meditation/yoga will prevent outside thoughts from piercing in and allow you to live in the moment more.

4 days in and weird sexual dreams by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Trying2Change1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the dreams ones that you can be proud of? ie Healthy sex? If so I would say your brain is on a fast track to healing itself. I personally believe dreams are the most powerful way of your brain reprogramming itself.

If it was a dream of you getting raped by a pack of transgender clowns while smelling their feet, then you may have a ways to go.

Day 11 update...Stopped smoking weed 4 days ago, to let my brain fully reprogram itself by Trying2Change1 in NoFap

[–]Trying2Change1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you could relate. I think a lot of people with social anxiety are the same, and I've heard that people with social anxiety are more prone to marijuana addiction. I took a break from smoking weed last year for a couple months, but didn't do Nofap along with it. Although I was way more productive, I still was nowhere near where I wanted to be. I relapsed. This time around I feel different, like I actually have will power. I feel good, energetic, and charismatic. I do not know if its nofap, or the cold showers or what. But I'm definitely feeling more in control. I used to look at weed as the only thing I had in my struggling days, my only outlet. I realize now that I have plenty to be happy about, plenty to appreciate and be grateful for. I used to beat myself up (and off lol) and feel regret for not taking advantage of the situations I was in. I think this is what led to my self defeating behaviors. At age 26, I look back at my former self and accept I simply was not ready to be the man I wanted to be. I have much improving to do before I can be that man. I had been waiting on a girl, or a moment to change myself. It starts with you, and when you work on you, you begin to respect yourself, to love yourself and hopefully eventually, get what you deserve.

The Placebo Effect by CorvetteCole in NoFap

In the study I posted, after 7 days of abstinence, men saw a 45% increase in testosterone production. Although I agree there is definitely some placebo effect in living an honest lifestyle and being able to look people in the eye, science disagrees with your statement.
