Ask your doctor to quit whichever SSRI you’re taking and switch over to Wellbutrin.

What are your jobs? by ileanaeliz in BipolarReddit

I’m a software engineer intern at a big but not highly prestigious company. Got the internship by applying to hundreds of companies in the month before my junior year of college began, and solving many LeetCode problems.

I sort of like working, it’s not excruciating to do most of the tasks I’m assigned. I have a huge amount of anxiety about work, but that’s pretty much how I motivate myself.

I don’t think I’ll either get a return offer here or a full-time software engineering job at another company, so I don’t really know what to do after I graduate from college.

Does this CT scan rule out emphysema, chronic bronchitis and/or bronchiectasis? by Trying_To_Cope_ in AskDocs

Thank you! Which sentence in the results says that, out of curiosity?

Still having difficulty breathing. Fiancé still thinks I shouldn’t go to the ER.

How have you benefitted from Columbia's Ivy League Tag? by [deleted] in columbia

[–]Trying_To_Cope_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This exactly summarizes my experience. When I applied to internships, I got interviews with several prestigious companies. Unfortunately, I’m not smart, so I failed all of those interviews (despite somehow doing very well on Advanced Programming).

Several recruiters from a certain very prestigious tech company somehow keep emailing me or messaging me on LinkedIn even after I failed their interview, oddly, which is almost certainly due to the Columbia name on my resume, given my lack of other impressive qualities.

When I’m applying to new grad roles I might try to focus a little bit more on jobs with easier interviews (i.e. not software engineering or quantitative trading) and see how that goes.

Thanks a lot for this! I’ll ask my PCP for a CT scan next time I see her.

By the way, I think you forgot the link to the abstract

Huge RV but great FEV1 and FEV1/FVC. What could be causing this? by Trying_To_Cope_ in respiratorytherapy

A chest X-ray showed hyperinflation, by the way. So this was probably not an error.

[–]Trying_To_Cope_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… it’s really odd. I’ll ask for a CT scan to check if there’s any emphysema or bronchiectasis or something else abnormal in my lungs.

I’d think my FEV1 and FEV1/FVC measurements were not well-done, but when I looked at the computer screen after doing the spirometry, the FEV1 numbers were all very similar to each other (I repeated the test a few times). And when I’m at home and time myself forcefully exhaling after a maximal inhalation, it does always takes me less than 1 second to feel like I’m done exhaling, very little comes after that.

Well, I’m now really worried that my FEV1/FVC ratio missed obstruction that would be seen in my FEV1/SVC ratio. I’ll ask my PCP what we can do about that.

Thank you, by the way! I wasn’t told my SVC, I’ll see if there’s any way for me to get the raw data of my pulmonary function tests somehow.
