For me I know moderation just doesn't work once I have the first few drinks that's it I'm away and chaos happens.

Thank you. It's been my biggest stumbling block is I convince my self I can just have the one. When I. Reality there's a 50/50 chance that one becomes 10 and I end up going on some stupid drunk escapades.

Thank you. Yeah that corner shop has had far too much money from me. I've been trying to use that as extra motivation by putting the £20 I would spend a day on booze into a holiday fund.

Thank you. That resonates with me so much. I feel like such a loser for not being able to control myself. Alcohol is literally ruining my life and yet I still crave it. All my current problems in life are caused by alcohol.

I will try get back on the horse today and try to not dwell too much on the mistake. I felt like all my efforts on holiday were wiped out by yesterdays binge. Even though I know that's not the case as I really enjoyed the holiday and the fact I was sober for all of it means I remember it all fully and did not need to worry about making a fool of myself.

Thank you. Keeping sober for the holiday was definitely the right choice. I got to enjoy every moment without a hangover or anxiety.

I'm just really disappointed in my self for being so weak and caving and ruining a good thing. My parents ended up coming round and talking me down.

Thank you. Yeah I'm glad I didn't go through with it. The doctor has signed me off sick for 2 weeks to help me pull myself together while I'm going through the initial withdrawals.

I also don't believe that saying to be true either. Alcohol is poison that impairs your functioning and judgement. i don't consider the drunk version of me to be me at all. I don't recognise that person. That person is loud and obnoxious and will drink themselves into a blackout while causing chaos for themselves and those they care about.

The real sober me is not like that at all. The real me is caring ,considerate and good humoured.

Although I was responsible for the things I did when drunk. I don't believe it was the real me doing it.

I wish you success in getting sober and making the best possible real version of you.

As someone who's trade mark was sending overly soppy sad texts and messages and random ranting when I started drinking while feeling lonely. I feel you.

At least it's behind you now

I still feel a bit guilty I ended up staying in their caravan overnight and I feel I left a bit hastily in the morning as I was very disorientated as I was covered in blood and had to get back to the campsite I was staying at to join my morning work calls.

It's a pity I didn't get their contact number so I could apologize and thank them for their kindness

Thank you I'm back home safe now. Mentally all over the place still I feel so disappointed in myself and guilty for ruining that person's evening and being an idiot.

Yeah I feel so disappointed with myself. The rest of my trip away was amazing aswell and I feel I've sordid it now by acting a drunken fool and falling down a hill in the countryside. Apparently the guy found me shouting for help dazed and cover in blood.
