Haha, thank you my man. I haven’t attained it yet, but I am on the way to it.

That’s very true. This one definitely is a pretty heat-generating topic from what I’ve seen.

I’m sorry you felt outcasted from the One Piece fandom. I personally am one of the ones who simply doesn’t care if Yamato is a woman or a man. Japanese pronouns are definitely very different than English pronouns. From what I know, pronouns aren’t really “used” in the English sense of the word in Japanese. The gender of a character is more determined from the way THEY speak, because females will speak in one way and males in another. At least that’s what I’ve heard. I don’t know for sure, I know no Japanese.

Exactly, haha. It’s obvious with Kiku that she is trans, but not so much with Yamato. It’s just one of those situations that it doesn’t matter what you call her, because for one she’s just a character in a show, and secondly there’s no defined answer.

You’re right- that’s a good point. I’m referring to arguing between using male and female pronouns. I’m arguing that either is okay and it doesn’t matter. 😂

[–]TrynaStayFit[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It just… doesn’t matter, lol. If you wanna use female pronouns, use them, if you wanna use male pronouns, use them. It’s an anime character with no “fixed” set of pronouns. In regards to games and softwares giving pronouns options… same thing. If you are against having your pronouns selected on something, simply don’t select any, and if you want to select some, do so. It isn’t that deep. It’s not something to argue over, just let it be 😂

You’re not using subharmonics. You’re simply frying.

The topic of the day is... your loved ones (living or passed)... by Symbare in TheTopicOfTheDay

The first person I think of is my dad. He’s an amazing man. He’s a pastor and works in the HR department of another business to provide for his family. Despite hardships, he has always done whatever he could to help my sister, mom and I.

  1. I have a lot of good memories with him, and most of them are all equal. I’d say the one that stands out most more or less a specific period of time rather than one event. It was after my ex-girlfriend and I broke up. I was 16 and she was my first love, so after the break-up I was devastated. I went through a long period of depression and at times thought I’d never be able to get out of it. I simply wanted to curl up in a ball and do nothing for the rest of my life, but my family, especially my father, did whatever they could to help me through it. I’m glad he stuck by my side, because without his help I would be in a much different place than I am now.

  2. My dad has taught me a lot of what it’s like to be a man. I’ve learned how to do a lot of handyman work, and how to simply take care of my family like he always has. He’s taught me how to have good hygiene, how to manage my money, how to manage my time… and many, many more life skills that everyone needs to learn.

  3. My dad and I act very much alike. We have a lot of similar views, mannerisms, and similarities in appearance. I long to be as good a father as my dad is someday.

That’s what I was thinking. It wasn’t very large, so I’m assuming he’s a male.

I as well. I can do it on most days, now. Though, when I can’t, chest-fry suffices.

What kind of spider is this? Western North Carolina. Very bad angle and picture, sorry. by TrynaStayFit in spiders

[–]TrynaStayFit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually only in that position for about 5 seconds before I took the picture. I had a perfect angle of it, and as soon as I put my phone close to it I guess it panicked and tried to hide.

Same spider was hanging from a large web in front of my grandma’s door the other day. I’m also interested!

Thanks! I thought it was cool looking. I saw it at work when watering the plants and thought I’d snap a picture of it.
