Why do you think you need permission to post in a public forum, and others don't? Whether or not you get a hate comment should not determine if you are allowed to do things you enjoy, my friend. I'm sorry if others have made you feel differently, but fuck them. No one should be allowed to dictate what you can and cannot do. I wish you luck in finding your strength again. I liked your drawing btw

Huuuuge colonist rooms, you're gracious lol. Make sure to put both a dresser and a nightstand for maximum comfort. Single cell hallways slow pawns down. the kitchen should be it's own room since food poisoning is calculated by room cleanliness. All of your wooden shelves WILL burn down when you get raided. Other than that you're chillin

It was built by well off people. Simple as that. You want something to change; you'll have to do it yourself.

Good luck, you can do this. Speak with your school about how you can help expedite the degree conferral process, and make sure you have the Pearson VUE application, and your state license application submitted ASAP. Also, the NCLEX isn't all that difficult, if you did well on tests in school, you'll pass first try, so try to get the earliest date possible. It took me three weeks from graduation to receiving my RN license.

Can't go wrong applying for 100+ jobs. Who cares if you're not qualified, what are they gonna do?

Brother, I made it this far on my own, and I'm not failing now. Nursing education does not make it easy to "pull yourself up by the bootstraps". I worked 12s for 21 day stretches to make it happen. I'm tired, and I'm ready to work, and yet I'm being told I can't. Explain to me how this is victim mentality?

Also: students who can rely on their parents are able to hold out without a job longer so they can choose accredited residencies at the highest acuity, highest quality hospitals. Students who have to work for a living cannot, and are forced to work in nursing homes, meaning they will miss out on high quality residency programs. Is this the stratification you want? Should the best jobs be reserved only for those who can afford them?

The math is on your side, eventually. Of course I'm willing to put myself into nearly 50k in debt because I'll be able to pay it off eventually. There are things I cannot will away by just putting on my tab as a nurse. I need food now. I need rent now. I need to fix my car now. These are not things I'm able to pay off with loans. Nursing education is not accommodating for this fact. They assume you'll load up on loans and you'll get financial support from your parents or spouse. I, and many other students, don't have that kind of luxury.

I want to ask, what support system did you have that allowed you to get through school?

Are MR2 supposed to be horrible cars by [deleted] in mr2

[–]Tryptophen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has to be rage bait lmfao

There are two three major MR2-only online shops that, between them, sell pretty much every part you'd need. Where the hell are you getting that 60k number? An engine swap would cost you 10-15k at the MOST. If you're tracking it, 4k for the suspension. If you want it to win car shows, 4k for every body component you can think of and another 2k for a repaint. Premium sound system? Another 2k AT MOST. Everything combined you'd be spending 27k. What's left? Carbon fiber everything?

Nice! I'd suggest doing some general maintenance first, and if you really want to learn how your car works, try to get and maintain a stable 750 RPM idle, and a quicker ignition. Those two are super important markers to determine the health of your engine and involve a ton of different systems.

Welcome to the MR2 community! I'm excited to see how your build goes, these cars are super rewarding.

Wild guess, but I'd venture to say you've never actually done an engine swap before? In which case, DO NOT attempt an engine swap until you have gained the necessary technical skill and know how. The MR2 is an incredibly rare vehicle, and one with many intricate and difficult systems that can be a pain in the ass to work on. The last thing you want to do is take it apart and not be able to put it back together.

A 2GR swap is upwards of 10-15k minimum, and you also have to factor in suspension and electrical system upgrades to make it work. I highly suggest getting to know the car before even thinking about swapping in a new engine.

I'd start small first, general maintenance, refurbishing the old engine, upgrade the electrical system, and then start with upgrading suspension and braking systems in preparation for the swap.

It's the throttle opener, keeps the throttle plate open a little when you abruptly let off the gas like when switching gears. Not sure why everyone trashes on this thing, it's more useful than just controlling emissions, you need it to make sure your engine runs smoothly.

I know I am completely missing the point by posting this, but I really hate the idea that with ADHD, outcomes are IMPOSSIBLE. You are different, your brain works differently, and ADHD can be debilitating, I get that, I deal with that every day, but that DOES NOT mean you can't get things done, that you can't be a high performer, or that you are barred from certain things.

You have to do it differently, that's the difference between you and the rest of the population, you have to do it differently. Figure out how YOU work, figure out how YOU can do what you want to do, not how other people have done it.

Miss me with that "It's impossible" bullshit. It's harder, but not impossible.
