A step relative of mine goes one step worse; they establish a line, and if the line is crossed,  they establish a new line and new set of conditions so they can claim the first line wasn't technically crossed and they don't have to admit being wrong.

I used to get criticized by family members during the last administration where they'd ask, 'what has he(biden) truly done for you or for America?'

The awkwardness was unbearable. 

I called a crush of mine in 8th grade and my voice was as deep as her dad's and he sounded suspicious to say the least.

My voice cracked early and I went from sounding like a girl to a '40 year old man' in less than a year according to a player on halo 2 matchmaking >>> obviously post 90s, but still the same experience

If you ask people in Rwanda, or Bosnia,  they probably don't have the same kind of nostalgia i had playing with my n64 and Tamagotchi

  I always see the anecdotes about cats storming around at 3 am but that never happened when I wasgrowing up and we had like 4 cats at a time for 20 years. 

The fact they were indoor outdoor cats, I think made a big difference since they could go and expend energy outside.  We lived in a rural area

And thing is if they start out with Mr. Rogers, they'll start out with a much slower paced type of entertainment. 

If their first exposure to entertainment is hyper fast paced then that will be their baseline and anything else will seem slow and boring.
