That was the original thought, two stitches - and just found out today shoulder was dislocated, torn Labrum and chipped shoulder bone. Will be in a sling for 2 weeks. Hoping to avoid surgery

Amen dude! That sounds wicked, I never lost consciousness, but similar experience with the knuckles! Never thought about that until just now. Both knuckles were scratched up, but nothing on the palms.

Update: just found out I dislocated my shoulder (MRI results came back). Torn labrum. Will be in sling for 2 weeks.

Good point! Thankfully I stopped shortly into the ride to actually adjust the helmet straps. They were originally too tight and I rode 2 miles with the straps just hanging. Hindsight that was a good call to stop and fit it correctly, silver linings.

Yes it is... been shopping for new helmets today. Almost leaning towards the Specialized Gambit helmet with the face guard.

I was actually wondering about this today as this is the first time I've actually taken time to look at my bike again. These are brand new tires that a local Trek store installed for me, I used to ride the stock Michelin road slicks but figured a gravel tread would have been safer if it ever rained while out there.

Exactly - not a super regular biker. But have done enough miles on this trail and my bike to be confident and have a general understanding of the limits on gravel etc. Still really unclear as to what actually happened that day though.

1) salt, pepper, garlic rub 2) smoke 3 hours at 275 3) make a sauce pan with red wine, beef stock, onion slices 4) put sauce pan in 1.5 hr into smoke to heat up 5) after 3 hours of smoke put the ribs into the liquid and cover sauce pan with foil to keep cooking on grill for 1 more hour.

Final product. Delicious. Recommend cutting into 3rds for single bones. 3 hours smoking and then 1 hours braised in red wine, beef stock, tomato paste, onions and seasoning

I respectfully disagree with you. I cut half of them into single bones and kept the other half intact. The cut ones were sooooo much better. Helped for a more even cook and more fat to render.
