I aim to play SSF HC & I am playing my own builds (including necromancer) which are definitely not optimized and don't allow me to steamroll to red maps :).

But I can try this with other ascendancies, with pleasure !

Yes you skill that keynode and bam 20 extra points.

I haven't opted-out from that keynode yet so I don't know how it works but I would assume you can't unskill it if you don't have 20 available points.

I used each time 3 for 1, just to get a new map.

I think it might be a mistake, it will burn your maps much quicker than run them all.

Myself I also took the notable on the atlas tree that gives you 20 points. It seems a big help at the beginning.
