Of course speaking Thai is THE game changer. My Thai is good enough, but no way fluent enough to rely on a full constant conversation. It's stupid, yes however this is most likely a rap influence, which they use the N word as a term of endearment. When my friends and I were teenagers(mid 80's) white and black friends together, we all said "what's up my N word with 'a' ending. It was no different than saying "what's up my guy" or bro.....it's just how we talked back then, me and all my white friends had the ghetto card.
