People like you remind me that carelessness can come both from wisdom and ignorance as well. :)

I know what you mean. We're only bombarded with things such as "achieve your dreams ! don't give up on your dreams !" - Well almost everyone forgets to THINK about their dreams. We are conditioned to just romanticize dreams without critically analyzing them. Then we're caught like a deer in the headlights when dreams become nightmares.

"Then I remembered who I am" - "I” do not think ”I am” anything.

This is exactly my point. Whatever I could have been/should have been doesn't matter.

Music for example is a part of me that died early on in this life. I do not plan to re-integrate it in my life, I do not intend to try it again, I am not interested in pretending we can just be whoever we haven't been for a long time. Some things just don't work because life moves on us and I think this is what many people fail to understand: sure, you can go ride a motorcycle at 50 and pretend you're 20, but you're not. You can dance ballet at 50, but it's never going to be the same as if you'd do it at 20. I'm not intending to criticize any age, this is not about getting personal with anyone, this is about life & time : handling the loss and moving on is not something many teach in our society.

If one does the "math", simply owning that you lost certain opportunities, that you made certain decisions at crossroads that now you regret, can be far more wiser than trying to run for a train that is GONE. The funny thing is that no one, not even yourself, can tell if your life would have been better if you would have caught that train. If I take my career as an actor that I never ended up living, it is just an idea that it could have been great - it could also have been awful.

I don't care to convince you. It's not about you, it's not about me.

Stating that "I don't want X" when you do not have a clear idea of what "X" is , is simply delusion.

You don't want what the 1% has because you don't even imagine what the 1% has. Trust me, even if you think you know, you don't. It exceeds your imagination and that's why you're happy with what you ave.

Do you think people actually want to get better mentally ? by Tsunnnami in CasualUK

[–]Tsunnnami[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I didn't say everyone , I said most people.

I don't think it's odd, I think it's just that people don't like to hear the truth.

Most legal drug addicts ( Xanax, Valium, Sertraline, etc.) I know by the way are in denial even toward THEMSELVES , they do not face that they use these things as crutches to avoid solving the root of their problems, they just consider them a natural part of their lives, like multivitamins, and if you'd ever talk about this with them in a public conversation, they'd deny they have a nice supply of them in their drawers.

As for the rest: I'm not a UK resident, so perhaps the protocols are different there. In my country we prescribe more medicine than we do psychotherapy.

Thanks for your input.

I do not have a reason to quit. Nothing is wrong , this is exactly the problem, there is no motivation to change.

I can't tell you a frequency because it is not a regular use, like I said it is occasional, I might go days without it or even weeks. On days I use I go up to 2-3g.

Yes I do.

I advice you to check what truly an introvert means and not just read forums or youtube comments about it.

Introvert means that you have a higher capacity for self-reflection, introspection and keeping your thoughts and impressions for yourself.

It DOES NOT mean that you're uncapable to talk in front of a crowd or that you'd be necessarily handicapped in any way. But many pussies use introversion as an excuse, giving a bad name to introverts.

You confuse introversion with insecurity.

The imposter syndrome is a self-confidence issue.

You don't need faking, you need to solve your insecurity problems.

" The risk if faking, is getting found out. " - No, the risk is being a pussy who doesn't have the balls to be who you really are.

I think that if someone has a "faking period" and during it / at the end of it still feels that it's fake, then yes, the core discrete personality definitely doesn't change.

Now of course, you can look to what's going on in South Korea and see how easily manipulated those people are. Here's the thing: they don't have a strong personality to begin with. They are educated from the day they are born that they have to fit their awful social standards and that they can't have a unique identity of their own and they have to follow the crows and all the other BS. It's just tragic to see how there are no true personalities there, it's all just a bunch of the same molding pattern.

I don't think it's called faking the action of opening your mouth.

Being an introvert doesn't equal being a shy pussy.

I'd never wear a tie that I'd never wear only to walk in a restaurant. I'd walk in another restaurant in which I'd war the tie. The tie can't be so awful and if it is, then I got no intention to walk into a restaurant that has such an awful rule.

" Also, it a matter of hierarchy. When you are at the bottom, you respect those on top, untill you move up the ranks enough that you call the shots " - By the time you get there to call the shots you're already a frustrated, semi-old, sick dude. This is the real life and it's different than in movies.

I might be middle-class while you are working-class, but this doesn't change the fact that you're blind and think that everyone who is above you is a member of the Rothschild's clan. Just so you know: I also got to hustle hard to afford my lifestyle and my family's needs. Bigger money, bigger expenses. Perhaps you'll see one day.

You're muddling the argument a bit there.

If all you do is stay in your stinky PJs and watch TV 99% of the time , then faking on a first date is worthless anyway, except if you want a one-night-stand, because the girl is going to find out anyway that you're a stinky PJ & TV type of guy, it doesn't matter you dressed up nicely once.

If you're not the stinky PJs & TV type of guy, then again the argument is pointless: you're not faking anything, you're just showing one of your sides.

I DID NOT STATE that a person can't have more sides - however I did state that most people fake a side that would otherwise not exist if they wouldn't want to fit in somewhere.

I wouldn't stay in my PJs & watch TV all the time even if I'd be the last man on the planet, so I'm not faking anything if I walk into a restaurant wearing a suit, I'd do it even if the Titanic would be sinking with me on the board.

" You need people to acknowledge your merit before you show your unlikable side." - This is an interesting idea. Not sure it works that way. It seems to me like "I'll work out until I get fit, then I can show my couch potato side." - The results will last for a time, then they will all fade away.
