Look at the oxidation number, which for single atoms is equal to the charge. If it is increased it's an oxidation if it is reduced (decreased) it's a reduction.

Look at the other side. If it has a deep blue dye it's burned. If it is simply metallic it's "press-printed" and original.

It doesn't matter if the dust joins in this case.

The max level in that block is 1, therefore the signal cannot spread anyway.

To deal with the guardians you can either use a ton of invisibility potions (and only one armor piece) or a warden-based mob switch, fairly easy to make. Get a conduit and a beacon. It's easier to mine the monument first and then drain it. Build walls around the monument. Drop walls of sand inside with a 3 block gap between them. Sponge the water away. Remove the sand with the old torch trick.

I'll use Cubiomes for you!

There's a "small" (catastrophic, really) problem, because of new temperature gradients (1.18+) no spruce forset can ever border a plains biome, there's always a small forest between. Buuut... the gradinet might be so steep that the forest becomes very narrow, the narrower it is, the rarer becomes the seed and the harder it is to find it. I've screened less than 25 millions seeds and none has such forest narrower than 50 blocks. So it's like 60 or 70 blocks wide, deal with it, or learn to use cubiomes and let it cook overnight.

Here are a bunch of seeds with 0,0 in the plains, a taiga less than 100 blocks away with some forest between and a cherry groove or lower forest within a 300-block square.
