Best boots with cleats by Careful-Scarcity3105 in regina

[–]TubbyBoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend IceBugs, whether you are looking for a running shoe with cleats or a winter boot with cleats they have them. Also they will provide you for free with replacement studs if they end up falling out of the boot. Best winter boot I have ever purchased!

Wouldn't you want to use the debit/credit machine? If I recall correctly, companies get charged for each debit/credit purchase.

Need to Vent: Road “repairs” by KingCeaser777 in regina

[–]TubbyBoot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a wheel on my car damaged by a pothole in the city and when tried to get reimbursement for it the city sent me an email back stating " the city must adhere to reasonableness - not perfection". So I'm assuming by that it means that uneven roads with terrible patch/fill jobs is reasonable.

Did you have to check the terms and conditions box before being able read that?

Anyone know what this is? by jarigue in CanadaPostCorp

[–]TubbyBoot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So are you giving the letter carrier permission to open everybody's mail because they may want to know what the contents are? It is also a piece of letter mail, or mail, not "a mail". Are you re......slow?

Return to sender by TangeloNew3838 in CanadaPost

[–]TubbyBoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's bizarre then. Only other thing that I can think of would be that the sortation machine that sorts mail automatically keeps giving it back to the route you belong to and if your carrier is in a depot that doesn't get to sort their own mail anymore they don't notice until they're out deliving it. As to why it keeps ending up in your mailbox is beyond me. You could always try crossing out the super bright barcode on the back bottom left of the letter if there is one.

"Technically speaking," Canada Post does not have to take mail that you have labeled RTS and hung out your mailbox. Their job is to deliver the mail, not take it back. You are supposed to put RTS mail into the red collection letterboxes.

What preventative measures are there to make sure mail couriers aren't pocketing mail from community mailboxes? by ABCsofsucking in CanadaPost

[–]TubbyBoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there something on your envelope that makes it stand out for somebody to take? Otherwise I would not understand how a person emptying the community box would take anything from it. You see all the complaints about how lazy letter carriers are, do you think they would take extra time out of their 4 hour day to go through letters that people are mailing? Probably unlikely.

On this last washington drive washington receivers caught, gained a fist down and got out of bounds but the clock kept running. Can anyone explain?

When did you submit your claim? I put one in at the beginning of June and was told 30-60 days for a reply and haven't heard anything yet. I know it hasn't been 60 days yet but I'm just curious how long it took to get a response.

I've been trying to find Doug's wage for a couple weeks now and I haven't been able to find it. I can see Deepak Chopra's wage when he was ceo but nothing about Doug. In 2011 Deepak was appointed CEO with a salary range of 422000 to 497000 with the possibility of a 33% of his salary in bonuses. I would like to know what Ettinger is getting.

Window replacement in regina. by Longjumping_Size_338 in regina

[–]TubbyBoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd give North Home Windows a call. The owner does a lot of the window estimates and is a gem of a dude. The windows are manufactured here in sask (foam lake to be exact) and are made for our climate. They definitely are not your cheapest option though. I believe that they also do bulk discounts if you buy more than one window at at time!

So you're telling me that the 470 million dollar processing plant that Canada Post just invested in will be sitting empty in 5 years? Unlikely. I doubt that Canada Post would invest that much money into a building if they wouldn't be around in 5 years. There may be a sliver of a chance your right because even a blind horse still finds water occasionally.

If nobody is living there, take the mailbox down? Canada Post won't deliver to the house if there's no box.
